Baiyang Trail

There is a secret trail in Taroko Park that has just been reopened. It is called Baiyang Trail. There is a Shuilian Cave at the bottom of this trail. Because the rock mass is relatively broken, surface water seeps down along the cracks in the rock mass. At that time, Taipower dug a hole in it to open a road. The cave passes through this rock wall, and the water accumulated in the rock cracks pours out, forming a spectacular view of countless small waterfalls in the cave. You can wear a raincoat and soak under the small waterfalls to experience it. It is a highly recommended private attraction.

Baiyang Trail is one of the trails in Taroko National Park. It was already past 2pm when we arrived here. The trail is very large. Our main destination is the Water Curtain Cave in Baiyang Trail. It takes about 2.1 kilometers from the entrance to the Water Curtain Cave, which takes about 1 hour. There are 8 tunnels in Baiyang Trail. Some of them have faint light from the entrance, while others are pitch dark. There are also drops of water dripping from the entrance from time to time. It is recommended to bring a flashlight and rain gear. The scenery on the trail is relatively primitive and very beautiful.

You must come to this place if you come to Taroko, it will definitely open your eyes. Be sure to use the restroom at the parking lot before coming, because the walk there takes 40 minutes and passes through four tunnels. Be sure to bring a flashlight, too. Along the way you can admire the mountains, rocks and water. The beautiful scenery of the last suspension bridge is really unforgettable and has wiped out several photos. Shuilian Cave is another unique experience. You need to plan a stay of two to three hours here. Feel the wonders of nature

Challenging the Poplar Walk, 2.1 kilometers long, took us three hours to walk. It's really exciting to go to the water curtain cave. There are stalactites, waterfalls and water curtain caves along the way. In summer, water curtain cave plays with water. In winter, there is a parking lot along the scenic road. You should take a trip to Tailu Pavilion.

The white poplar trail is a long journey, and it has to go through several cave tunnels, which are dark and a little scary. It also says that there will be bats. A lot of grass paste was specially applied to prevent mosquito bites before entering. The most classic is a water curtain hole. We need to wear a raincoat, slippers and roll up our trousers legs to enter. Even so, we are still wet in pieces. We are also trembling when crossing, afraid to fall into the water and get wet all over, but looking back, the process is very happy. These special experiences should never happen again.

The Baiyang Trail is located in Taroko, Hualien. You can get there by taking Taiwan Express. Those with good legs can walk all the way to Taroko. Please note that you must wear a helmet within the designated area of ​​the park! Watch out for falling rocks (during the rainy and typhoon seasons). The most fun part of Baiyang Trail is Water Curtain Cave. Remember to prepare a raincoat (a light raincoat, please take it out and throw it in a trash can after use), and waterproof your camera (mobile phone). The cave is full of waterfalls, pouring down from the top of the cave, which is very interesting^^. It is best to wear flip-flops on your feet (prepare in advance, and wear hiking shoes when walking), as the water level is up to your ankles! Prepare water and simple meals. Taroko Scenic Area only has stores in the tourist centers, but not in Shuilian Cave. Don't go hungry (if you have children with you)

The Baiyang Trail is located in Tianxiang, Tailuge. It goes from Tianxiang to Baiyang Waterfall. In the tunnel, there is another small tunnel leading to Baiyang Waterfall. The Baiyang Trail is 2 kilometers long. It takes about 45 minutes to walk one way. It takes four tunnels to reach Baiyang Waterfall. The trails are all dirt roads, and monkeys have been seen on the roads.
