14,000 BC to modern times!
There are very good information boards about the usage of this cave throughout the millenia. In addition, the relatively modern Shinto shrines are interesting.

It is a national historic site and is the first cave dwelling site to be investigated in Japan. It is said that the stratum including relics was found in the order of times, and the difference between Jomon and Yayoi cultures was revealed as color 々 in this survey, so I think it is archaeologically valuable in that sense. It's right next to the rich sea and there is spring water in the back of the cave, so I felt it was an ideal place for an ancient residence. The explanation panel for each era is also easy to understand.

Caves
It is a cave in a fishing village. It seemed that cave enthusiasts were visiting. I was surprised that there was a cave in such a place.
