Take the cable car from Miyajima to Lion Rock, and walk to the landscape platform in 30-40. The landscape platform has 3 floors. You can sit and drink water on the 2nd floor. There are excellent viewing spots around. You can look around the islands around the Seto Inland Sea. It is refreshing.

After getting off the ropeway, you will arrive at the top of the mountain in about 30 minutes early, and if you are slow, you will arrive at the top of the mountain in about 50 minutes!
