Worth it!
Such a unique and amazing experience. Easy trip from Kyoto and well worth it. Asano was extremely knowledgeable and made for a fun day. One of the highlights of my entire trip.
It is a ceremony for the fire of the new year.
I visited the ignition ceremony. It makes a good sound while hitting jade copper with a tagane. You can see the process of becoming a kitchen knife.
