The magical feast of the Penguin Parade and Beluga Love
Spending the weekend at the Polar Park with my family was an overall fantastic experience, especially the newly launched Penguin Parade after November 15th, which is absolutely worth a special recommendation!
Starting at 1:30 PM, a group of adorable penguins line up and, led by their keeper, waddle with their short legs from the polar pavilion all the way to the outdoor parade area. The scene is irresistibly cute! Their fluffy backs look like a moving fairy tale illustration. The kids excitedly point at the penguins and cheer, unable to stop taking photos. The parade route is thoughtfully designed, allowing everyone to observe these little Antarctic elves up close from different angles and learn about their living habits in a fun and educational way.
Besides the Penguin Parade, other attractions in the park are also very impressive. In the aquarium, the mermaid performers dance gracefully underwater, accompanied by dreamy lighting and music, making you feel like you’re in a fairy tale world. The show has a fixed schedule, so it’s recommended to arrive early to secure a good spot.
Next, head to the polar pavilion for the Beluga’s “Heart of the Ocean” show, which is truly breathtaking! This performance, themed around “love and protection,” tells the deep bond between belugas and humans across the ocean. To ethereal and melodious music, the belugas elegantly spin and leap in the water, spraying sparkling water droplets as if writing a touching poem with their bodies. The most moving moment is at the end, when two belugas swim side by side, and a heart-shaped water column rises slowly under blue lighting, symbolizing the pure “Heart of the Ocean.” The entire audience can’t help but applaud, and some even have tears in their eyes. This show not only showcases the belugas’ intelligence and spirit but also conveys a beautiful vision of harmonious coexistence between humans and marine life.
The underwater tunnel itself is another highlight. The arched glass passage makes you feel like you’re under the sea, with rays gliding like kites—every snapshot looks like a masterpiece. Both kids and adults are deeply captivated by this immersive ocean wonder.
Finally, don’t forget to check in at the outdoor pumpkin garden! Although it’s not autumn, the pumpkin art installations remain, with giant pumpkin lanterns and animal shapes made from pumpkins full of childlike fun. It’s a great spot for photos and adds a warm and cute ending to the whole trip.
Overall, this visit was packed with rich content, from indoors to outdoors, from science education to entertainment, perfectly arranged for family outings. Remember to keep track of time and don’t miss the 1:30 PM Penguin Parade—this is definitely today’s highlight! The “Heart of the Ocean” beluga show is a soul-stirring experience that leaves a lasting impression.

Show More ReviewsIt's so much fun! The package ticket allows you to stay for three months. My kids love coming here. It's a great place to take them during the winter when there's nowhere else to go. Coming to the aquarium every day burns off energy, so they can get a good night's sleep when they get home. They can learn about so many animals!
