Real Stuff
Nature unspoilt. Not over crowded. Mostly nature lovers. Spring and Summer better for climate. Book in advance. I f you love water sport- surfing , diving etc the place to go
If you really want to experience the coastal dunes - a short trip to De Hoop from Arniston is worthwhile. The Arniston dunes are nice but not as high as the De Hoop ones - but well worth a walk!
A choice of many unspoiled white sand beaches abound along this coastline. Because they are under the influence of the Indian Ocean currents the wind is not so cool.
We spent 3 afternoons on the dunes trying to surf down them. We attempted it with cardboard, wood and boogieboards; TO NO AVAIL. If you know how to get down these massive dunes please drop me a line! ...

Good fisherman's spot!
Except for the beautiful beach and '50 shades of blue' ocean, this is also a very popular fishing spot.
Remote and fun if you know how to surf a dune
