The Alhambra is truly beautiful and photogenic, with many girls posing for photos over and over again. If you go, be sure to book your tickets in advance! We arrived at 10 a.m. and saw that same-day tickets were sold out.
The scenic area is quite large and can be visited in 3 hours. I did not go to the Nazaries Palace, but I preferred the Charles V Palace. The parking lot cost 5.5 euros for two hours and then left.
The tickets were sold out on the first day. I didn't expect the Alhambra to be so popular. I later bought tickets for the second day through Ctrip. I walked around a bit. It's quite big and the routes are a bit messy, but overall it's a good experience. I may not have the chance to come to Granada in the future. I feel a little regretful if I don't go this time.
The beauty of the Alhambra lies in the fact that it uses architecture to tell the story of the glory and decline of a civilization. When your fingertips touch the concave and convex carvings, you can seem to hear the chiseling sounds of Moorish craftsmen; standing in the empty courtyard, you can't help but imagine how the former sultan paced and pondered here. This is not only the "Red Castle" (Alhambra means "red" in Arabic), but also a poem written in stone. The shock of the Nasrid Palaces (Palacios Nazaríes) - The magic of carving and light and shadow: The moment you step into the Lion Courtyard (Patio de los Leones), it's like being in a dream of "One Thousand and One Nights". The complex geometric patterns and Arabic inscriptions on the wall form flowing light and shadow under the oblique sunlight, and the exquisite details are breathtaking. The soul of water: From the mirrored pool in the Patio de los Arrayanes to the gurgling water of the Lion Fountain, the Moors used the sound of water and its reflection to create the conception of a "paradise garden", which is full of spirituality in silence. A bird's-eye view of the Alcazaba - Climbing up the castle's watchtower, you can see the panoramic view of Granada's old town with red tiles and white walls, and the snow-capped mountains in the distance are looming. The vicissitudes of history and the magnificence of nature meet here. The healing feeling of the Generalife Garden - Passing through the green corridor and rose garden, and climbing up the Patio de la Acequia, the symmetrical design of the fountain and flowers makes people calm instantly. This is the summer palace where the Moorish nobles escape the summer heat. Walking through it, you can seem to hear whispers from centuries ago.
The Alhambra is really huge. We walked around for 7 hours, following the Chinese guide, but it felt like we didn't visit the whole palace. We only visited the key buildings, and there were many gardens that we didn't visit in detail. The most beautiful one was the Lion Courtyard, followed by the Maiden Courtyard. You must visit the Alhambra in Granada once in your life to experience the shock of Arab civilization.
The Alhambra Palace, which stands on a ridge 750 meters above sea level in the east of Granada, was built in 1238 and covers an area of more than 140,000 square meters. It is the palace of the Kingdom of Granada established by the Moors in Spain. It is the essence of all the monuments preserved during the Moors' rule of Spain for more than 800 years; among the many palaces of successive dynasties in Spain, it is known as the "most beautiful palace". As the tourist attraction with the largest number of visitors in Spain, the Alhambra Palace is mainly composed of three areas: the Nasrid Palace, the Alcazaba Castle, and the Palace of Carlos V. The essence. The Nasrid Palace, which was built in the 13th century, has been repaired and expanded by successive kings and sultans, becoming more and more perfect and finally reaching the pinnacle of Islamic architectural art. Several courtyards of different shapes, represented by the Myrtle Courtyard and the Lion Courtyard, are hidden among the towering city walls, green trees and flowers. The carefully designed layout, exquisite architecture, and intricate carvings... mysterious and dreamy, with changing scenery, luxury and wealth are all in it. The oldest. The Alcazaba Castle, built in the 9th century, is the oldest building in the Alhambra area. Located on the westernmost side of the Alhambra, it is built on the mountain, overlooking the city, easy to defend and difficult to attack, guarding the royal palace behind it. Entering the castle, the tall towers, thick city walls, and deep trenches stubbornly show the former glory; the ruins of the criss-crossing buildings helplessly tell the vicissitudes of history... The most bizarre. The Palace of Carlos V, built from 1527 to 1557, is completely different from the Arabic style of other buildings in the Alhambra. It is a classic Spanish Renaissance architectural style. The outer square is a huge cube shape. The strong square stones, the flamboyant copper rings and the exquisite carvings on the outer wall complement each other, showing the royal style. The inner circle is an open-air circular courtyard with a diameter of 30 meters in the middle. The 32 stone pillars around it support the two-story circular colonnade, which is elegant and magnificent... From the commanding heights of the Alhambra Palace, you can overlook the row of houses, the dignified and elegant churches, the misty rivers and mountains, and the beautiful scenery of Granada. The hillside opposite the Alhambra Palace is the Albaicin District. The Plaza San Nicola on the commanding heights is the best place to view the Alhambra Palace in a panoramic view. The majestic and magnificent momentum of the palace is ready to emerge.
The city in the garden, the garden in the city. The glorious city of Spain in the age of two kings, reverence for Allah lingers around the city. Zibamboo from China is only a branch of cultural landscape. The use of symmetry, the luxury of domes, the perfect combination of architecture and horticulture, the combination of dignity and sacredness, the noble palace walks away, imagination and association. Especially in the European countries, this kind of religion's inheritance and transition, and then worry about the Qiren, but then come back without dispute, there is no hope. After each war, human civilization is quietly moving forward, touching the marble wall of ice crystal, as if listening to ancient legends. See the chapters in detail, and take photos of some angles that have never been photographed before to tell some old things that have never been seen before.
Since the number of visitors is limited in each time period every day, you must make an appointment in advance. If you don't make an appointment online, be prepared to queue up at 6 am! You can exchange tickets at the machine at the ticket office. Remember to bring the credit card and order number used for the original reservation. We booked tickets to enter the Nasrid Palace at 2 pm. We arrived at the scenic spot before 12 o'clock, thinking of going to other places first. As a result, when I asked, both the Summer Palace and the Alcazaba Fort said that they would not be allowed to enter before 2 o'clock, only the Carlos V Palace (free) could. Later I learned that if the ticket is 2 o'clock, all paid attractions must be entered after 2 o'clock. Although the Nasrid Palace, Alcazaba Fort and the Summer Palace are separate attractions, as long as the visiting time is met, it is completely OK to go to another paid attraction after coming out of one paid attraction. Remember that you cannot enter each paid attraction again after coming out. There are staff at the door to check tickets very seriously. Suggested tour route: ticket exchange---Carlos V Palace---Nasrid Palace (the most essential part)---Alcazaba Fort---Summer Palace. As the first representative of Muslim architecture in Europe, the entire palace is worth a careful appreciation. Although it is hot in summer, it is recommended to visit the Summer Palace Garden when the flowers are in bloom, but please bring enough drinking water. If you want to enjoy the panoramic view of the palace, you can go to the observation deck in the Albaicin district. You can only see the side part from the high point of the Summer Palace.
