Genting Highlands
Genting Highlands, also known as the "Monte Carlo of the South," is located about an hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur. Due to its high altitude, the climate is cool, making it a popular summer retreat for Malaysians. The buildings at the summit are often shrouded in mist, giving it a mystical, fairyland-like atmosphere.
The highlands are home to Malaysia's largest entertainment center and summer resort. On the mountain, you'll find luxury hotels, a 4D cinema, shopping malls, bowling alleys, golf courses, and Malaysia's only legal casino.
Visitors can take a cable car to reach Genting Highlands, with two routes available: the red line and the blue line.
· The red line, known as the Awana Skyway, has three stations: Awana Station, Chin Swee Station, and SkyAvenue Station.
· The blue line, known as the Genting Skyway, has two stations: Gohtong Jaya Station and Genting Station.
It is recommended to choose the red route, as you can stop by Chin Swee Temple for a visit along the way. Personally, I opted for this route. Starting from the hot lowlands and gradually ascending the mountain, the mist envelops you, and the temperature cools down, giving you the feeling of entering a completely different world.
