Simple on the inside

Unlike most Portuguese churches this one is surprisingly simple. An undecorated barrel vault with a simple altar, very little ornamentation or tiles. The upside down house is just around the corner.

Beautiful Church

Located in downtown Furnas near Tony's Restaurant where we ate lunch. We didn't get a chance to go inside as we were pressed for time, but the exterior was very beautiful.

The central church in Furnas

The church of Santa Ana is sometimes known as the Old Church. It was build in 18th century. It has very beautiful look typical for many Azorian churches. It is worth a short visit.

Pretty church

Hard to miss when walking downtown. Pretty church, worth ducking inside. On the same street as several good restaurants.
