Located right in front of the gate of Yugyoji Temple, the temple was originally the tower of Yugyoji Temple. The highlight is the vermilion red gate, which is the mountain gate. It is a donation from Mr. Hojo's residence in Kamakura.
Do you know "Shintokuji"? It is a sub Temple in the precincts of Seijokoji Temple in Fujisawa City, but originally Shintokuji Temple, Sutokuin Temple, Zentokuin Temple, and Sadatokuin Temple were integrated into Shintokuji Temple. When you enter the gate, there is no particular feature in the ordinary precincts, but I think this gate is rare because some of it is red.
When you enter from Yugyoji Somon, you will find the tower temple on your right. It is said that the Akamon gate was donated by the Hojo family, but I don't know why it is red. It is a quiet temple.
It is one of the precincts of the temple of Seijokoji (Yugyoji), the head temple of the Jishu sect, which has a history of about 700 years. It is a small precinct with only the main hall and the temple office, which are the principal image of the sitting statue of Amida Sanson, on the right hand side, which is close to the main gate (Kanki Gate) with Tsukiji Tsukiji on the approach to Yugyoji Temple. The temple is also called 'Akamon' because it is characterized by the vermilion gate that was donated from the residence of the Hojo clan in Kamakura. I know if you go to the 'Fujisawa Inn Exchange Hall' as soon as you cross the yugyo Bashi bridge (Otsuki Bashi bridge / Daigiribashi) over the sakaigawa River ...
It is in front of Yugyoji Temple. It is about a 15-minute walk from Fujisawa Honmachi Station, so access is good. It is about a 20-minute walk from Fujisawa Station. Although it is a small temple, the gate was magnificent.
