I am surprised by how interesting the tour turned out to be. The free audio guide gives visitors a good background of the palace and how it is used till today! Photography is not allowed inside the palace but that is good as it allows one to fully immerse in the grandeur. Take time to explore the palace gardens and the abbey though there is some reconstruction work at the abbey.
MorePalace of Holyroodhouse Standing at the end of Edinburgh's Royal Mile, the Palace of Holyroodhouse is the official home of Her Majesty The Queen in Scotland, and is used by Her Majesty for State ceremonies and official entertaining. The Palace has been a royal residence for over 500 years and is closely associated with Scotland's rich history. A visit to the Palace includes the Historic Apartments of Mary, Queen of Scots, which were the setting for many dramatic episodes in her short and turbulent reign, including the brutal murder of her Italian secretary, David Rizzio, by her hus band, Lord Darnley. Her Bedchamber has been described as 'the most famous room in Scotland'. In the Palace's State Apartments, visitors can see the magnificent Great Gallery, where Bonnie Prince Charlie held lavish balls when he set up his Jacobite Court at the Palace in September 1745. The State Apartments today reflect the changing tastes of successive monarchs, and are renowned for their fine plasterwork ceilings and unrivalled collection of Brussels tapestries. They are furnished with numerous works of art from the Royal Collection, many of which have long associations with Holyroodhouse and Scotland.

Before traveling, I learned that this palace is one of the three palaces of Queen Elizabeth's summer palaces. I came here and came down in a circle. It was a worthwhile trip. The well-preserved medieval tapestries, oil paintings, and furniture were like crossing back to that era, and there was that corner building. The blood on the top floor records the story of the murder of Mary I's Italian lover, which is a shame.
It is very convenient for Trip.com to book foreign attractions. I have been looking for a guide on foreign websites before. Because the interpretation of the English terms is not necessarily very clear, I still hesitate to place an order. Later, I saw on Trip.com that I can make an appointment. It is too convenient and very clear. Chinese explanation, You only need to provide a person's identity information to place an order, reliable! The first stop to Edinburgh is the Holy Lutheran Palace. When you get off the train, you will be shocked by the city scenery of Edinburgh. When you come to the Holy Lutheran Palace, the first Gothic building will come into view. I am so excited. 🥰
Subjectively, it can indeed be
