Very quiet.
It's a tiny village with nice water views. The Pilgrim's Inn is beautiful, and there are a few galleries and the very popular 44 North Coffee Cafe, but there wasn't enough to tempt me to spend a few h...
Small but lovely
Another great village to see but very little to do, so if you are with children I suggest staying longer in Stonington. However, some lovely views and friendly people.

We drove through Deer Isle on our way to Stonington. We stopped at the big Bridge to get a couple of pics. Beautiful area...quiet and peaceful.
