We visited this museum while traveling up the Oregon coast. It's a little off the beaten path but not too hard to find. It's in a very pretty spot with great views of the coast. The museum includes...
We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the courageous work of the Coast Guard rescue sailors and the extremely rugged lifeboats that were designed to remain afloat in the very stormy local seas.
Stop here, for sure, if you have time. Note that the hours are limited - maybe 10-3pm most days. Very interesting history that will make you so proud of our Coast Guard guys. What supermen!
Still closed, but the nearby head trails are beautiful!
Very interesting history behind this sight and even though the museum is still closed, the trails around the headlands have informational signs that do a good job of explaining some of the history.

Great little museum to stop at and learn about history with WW and Pearl Harbor. Great ocean views, knowledgeable staff.
