Wonderful easy hike- apply bug spray
Nice place to get some exercise in the shade away from beach. Flat and Sandy. Tennis shoes are fine. Saw one black snake and heard plenty of bugs. One fly bite without wearing any repellent.

Worth a Visit
This is a lovely walk through the woods and to the sound. To get here, you go towards the 4x4 beach. Right before you get to the sand, you will see a small parking lot on the left. Park in here. ...

Beautiful peaceful easy walk with younger kids! We took their new binoculars and they were able to spot several types of birds. We also saw some fish and a snake and squirrels. Nice morning adventure...
Nice trails
Short trail but worth the hike. Nice well maintained trail. No horses. Stay on highway 12 to the 4x4 beach trailhead is on the left on sharp corner
