Hokkaido Jingu

Been to Japan several times but this was my first time in Sapporo Hokkaido prefecture. Visited the Hokkaido-Jingu shrine and it is enthralling to learn about its history and congregational culture of the area. One of my favourite thing is the tying of of the omikuji and the Japanese architecture of the shrine. It was beautifully crafted and you may also want to get some seasonal souvenirs to bring back home for yourself of for your loved ones. Getting to the place was easy by JR train. If going from Sapporo station it’ll only take around 15-25mins. Make sure to stop by at the stalls along the way for some Japanese street food snacks like takoyaki, beef bbq tried it loved it, and okonomiyaki. I believe the best time to come is during the sakura season and the golden week as it will be less crowded and you’ll enjoy numerous variety of cherry blossom they are beautiful. Day 7 - One day in Sapporo - after breakfast at the hotel, we took a tram to Fushimiinari Shrine 札幌伏見稲荷神社, Hokkaido Shrine Mikado 北海道神宮神門, and later walk to Maruyama Zoo 札幌市円山動物園 (open 9.30am) - We planned for Historical Village of Hokkaido, but didn't manage to go, for those who interested, you can take the JR&Tozai Line(Subway)[Shin Sapporo Sta.],You change bus bound for [No.22 Kaitakunomura](15min) to last bus stop. - We play snow at Moerenuma Park, and visited Hokkaido Shrine Tongu - Sapporo Beer Garden, ９丁目-2-10 Kita 7 Johigashi, Higashi Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido 065-0007, Japan for dinner Day 8 - New Chitose - JR Sapporo Station to Chitose Station Hotel-put luggage - Visit Northen Horse Park (we can take the bus from airport) - Planned for lunch at Michinoeki Salmon Park Chitose 道の駅 サーモン・パーク千歳, and Salmon Hometown Chitose Aquarium サケのふるさと 千歳水族館 unfortunately it was closed. We have a brief lunch nearby. - then we visit Kirin Brewery Co., Ltd. Chitose Factory, Hokkaido (it's free admission), we got to sampling some beer too #celebratewithtrip #

In October, the trip to Hokkaido Shrine, covered in maple Leaves is hidden in the round mountain park of Sapporo, was beyond amazing. It runs along with the big stone bird and passes through the Suomumu Shrine. I used to come in winter because the snow looks heavenly and I thought it was better. It is the Hokkaido Shrine, so I went back. This time the weather is good. I will continue to move forward and finally come to Hokkaido Shrine. I do not need tickets. It is slightly different from the architecture of other Japanese shrines. It is a bit like a windmill roof and should be a feature of the Hokkaido region. In the morning, many Japanese people come to pray, and the wishing card has a cute bear on it. It is actually more expensive than other shrines. The same Sakura bell is 800 yen here, and other shrines are 500. It may be particularly effective. There is also a self-service 200 yen for signing, and there is a cute gold lucky cat in the paper, which is really adorable.

Established in 1869, the centrepiece of the Main Shrine is an impressive A-framed building whose gold embellishments positively sparkle on a bright Winter's day. I was particularly fascinated by the wooden frame with wires that devotees tied their "wishes"/prayers around. Set in Maruyama Park and approached along the Cherry Tree Boulevard from the 2nd Shrine Gate, the Hokkaido Jingu Shinto Shrine is probably impressive whatever season you choose to visit.
