It is a temple where the eye Buddha Yakushi Ruriko Nyorai is enshrined. It is a shrine with a magnificent building where you can feel the history. I have a good eye, but I was overwhelmed by the history of this temple, or the appearance of the main shrine. It's my favorite temple.
It is the 13th temple of Chichibu Fudasho, which is about a 5-minute walk from Seibu Chichibu Station. The official name is a temple of the Soto sect called Kikasanjigenji, and the principal image is the Holy Kanzeon Bodhisattva. It enshrines Yakushi Ruriko Nyorai, the Buddha of the eye, and people who have trouble with the eyes from all over the country visit 々. There is a megusurinoki in the precincts, and it seems that the eye tea made from the leaves is effective for eye diseases.
