Came here on December 19, 2017. Wat Phra Singh is one of the largest temples in Chiang Mai, and is as famous as Wat Chedi Luang. Although both are large temples, the styles of the two temples are quite different. Wat Phra Singh has more exquisite details and retains a lot of very high artistic expressions, such as many murals in the main hall, and the stupa is golden and very beautiful.
Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan, a first-class royal temple of the Woramahawihan type, is located in the moat area of Chiang Mai, Samlan Road, Phra Singh Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province. Wat Phra Singh is one of the most important temples in Chiang Mai. It enshrines Phra Singh, the sacred Buddha image of Chiang Mai.
This place is so important in old town city, if you come to Chiang Mai, you should go!! I’m recommended
Like the slow pace of life in Chiang Mai, walking from the Roseat Hotel to the Parsing Monastery for about 15 minutes, passing through other large and small temples. Almost every temple in Chiang Mai is exquisite and has a story. When entering the temple, you must take off your shoes. At the entrance, you have to pay 20B incense fee. The staff will give tribute and write down their names. There are also staff in the temple who will explain the ritual Buddha to you. They will speak basic English. The main hall is magnificent, and other buildings have their own characteristics.
Parsing Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai, and the Qidilong Temple is the most noble temple in Chiang Mai. These large-scale temples in Thailand have two-dimensional codes in front of their doors, which allow you to scan and view some profiles. It's very good. All temples must take off their shoes when entering the main hall. There are four Buddhist temples in the temple, which are connected by long corridors and square. Each temple has a golden Buddha. In the main hall, Laigan Hall, there are three Buddha statues which are regarded as the most spiritual ones in northern Taipei. In the center of the courtyard is a large golden pagoda about 20 meters high, built in the 16th century. It is said that the pagoda contains Sakyamuni's relics. The top of the tower is a crystal lotus presented by King Tai. The Parsing Temple in the rainstorm is beautiful and amazing!
Very good temple, free to enter, worth visiting
Parsing Temple is the highest and largest temple in Chiang Mai. It is also called "Chiang Mai's three major temples together with Shuanglong Temple and Great Buddha Pagoda Temple. One of the attractions that visitors to Chiang Mai must visit. The incense here is very strong, the temple, the towering trees prove the ancient temple here, it was built in 1345, the sharp triangular roof on both sides of a number of golden dragons, glittering golden, enter the main hall to slippers, show respect, the process is very complex, we will look outside, feel its magnificence. Every year from April 13 to 15, Passing Temple is one of the main places where people celebrate the Water Sprinkling Festival.
There are two most famous temples in the ancient city of Chiang Mai: Wat Chedi Luang in the northwest of the city and Wat Phra Singh in the west of the city. As the largest and most popular temple in Chiang Mai, Wat Phra Singh is a must-see. The temple is decorated with golden splendor inside and outside. The temple houses the awe-inspiring Buddha statue of Phra Singh and relics. You need to take off your shoes to enter the main hall. There are many people praying, all of them are very pious. The surrounding Buddha statues are said to be "real bodies", super realistic, and it is difficult to distinguish between true and false. The most favorite is the courtyard around the temple. In the local weather where the average temperature is over 30 degrees, you can actually feel a little cool. Sitting on the stone chair, listening to the wind blowing the leaves rustling, I feel inexplicably at ease. The courtyard is also super suitable for taking pictures. Whether sitting on a stone bench or walking on a path. Sitting and shooting, it seems that you are pure and unselfish, and very literary. Taking photos while walking will make you look free and unrestrained, and you will have a natural aura of a fairy. good to forgive, the best to forget. Today's heart-calming chicken soup comes from the sign hanging on the tree, which is marked in Thai and English. In fact, there is a sign on every tree in the backyard, and the one I like the most is the one on it. Those words may be hung up by the monks in the temple to save the world. Transportation: Take a songthaew from Thapae Gate, the distance is not far, and the one-way fare is 20฿ per person. Remember to negotiate the price in advance. Tickets: 20฿ per person for tourists. Locals don't seem to have to pay. Small tips written at the back Ladies should pay attention to their dress when entering the main hall, and they should not expose their shoulders, backs, or thighs. When looking at the "real body" Buddha statue, please sit down and try to look straight at it to show respect. Keep quiet in the temple and don't make loud noises.
