The Thapae International Muay Thai Stadium is a unique venue that combines Muay Thai culture with modern entertainment. It is not only a paradise for Muay Thai enthusiasts, but also an ideal place for tourists to learn about traditional Thai martial arts.
The venue is equipped with a standard Muay Thai ring, where exciting Muay Thai matches are held every night. The audience can experience the fierce confrontation between Muay Thai players up close and experience the charm of this ancient martial art. Before the game, the traditional "Wai Kru" ceremony will be held on site, and the players will pay tribute to the coaches and the audience through elegant dance moves, showing the spiritual connotation of Muay Thai culture.
In addition to watching the competition, the stadium also provides interactive experience sessions. Visitors can learn basic Muay Thai movements and techniques under the guidance of professional coaches and experience the charm of this sport firsthand. There is also a Muay Thai history exhibition area in the venue, which displays the important moments of Muay Thai development from ancient times to the present and the deeds of famous boxers.
The venue is surrounded by beautiful environment and is close to the historical buildings of the ancient city of Chiang Mai. Visitors can stroll through the ancient city before and after watching the game to experience the cultural atmosphere of Chiang Mai. There is also a special snack area in the venue, providing traditional Thai food, so that visitors can enjoy the visual feast while also tasting the authentic Thai flavor.

If you buy a VIP ticket, you can sit in a glass house and enjoy the air conditioning, and there are free drinks (beer, cola or water). There will also be service staff who come in to help you bet on the players. But in fact, the view from outside is also quite good, and you can hear the sound of muscles colliding. Sitting in the glass house is quieter but also very conspicuous. Then let me tell you a point that I feel bad: a boxer came in during the match. He was one of the blind fighting sessions (the fourth picture in my picture is a game session. Four people put on blindfolds and blind fight each other to amuse the audience). Then he came in with a plastic box and spoke a lot of Thai English. We didn't understand. Then he said it again. I guessed blindly that he wanted us to donate money or bet. Then everyone gestured to each other and didn't understand. He left angrily, leaving a mocking and cursing word, you VIP! In fact, we were not unwilling to pay, and I had already thought about giving him money. Anyway, he came to you when he sat in the air-conditioned room, but he saw our confused faces and thought we were playing dumb and refused to give. Then he left in anger without giving us time to react. The organizers should at least explain it to us in some way, because we are tourists and don’t know the rules of the boxing match. Many things are just communication problems. If this Thai boxer spreads it, people will think that we Chinese are stingy. In short, it is still worth experiencing. The match is not too intense, very lightweight, and has a performance nature. If you want to see fierce competition, you have to go to Bangkok to watch professional Muay Thai matches.
Saw 6 Thai boxing matches at the Tapee International Muay Thai Stadium in the evening, it was great, 2 females and 4 males, as other reviews have said, the teenagers started off slow but then it got intense. Drinks were reasonably priced, 120 baht for a large bottle of Chang beer, free toilets but they were not clean. We were a little hesitant to bring our 9 and 5 year olds but they enjoyed it and the kids tickets were half price. We went to the Tapee boxing stadium in Chiang Mai to watch Thai boxing at the end of our trip to Thailand, it was very exciting. We were worried about some of the negative reviews at first, like the matches were fake, but it was clear that none of them were fake. The skill level of the first few rounds was like watching a middle school cafeteria fight, but by the third round the quality of the matches improved. Although the skill level was not comparable to the matches seen in Bangkok, it was great to see such matches in such a small stadium with a good view from every seat. The beer was reasonably priced and we watched some of the knockout matches.
Buying tickets on Ctrip is much cheaper than buying them on site. There are quite a lot of people watching the show, but you shouldn't be short of seats. It's also nice to experience a boxing match. Many female boxers are super cool. Most of the fights are not fierce, but there are also some powerful KOs.
It was my first time watching Muay Thai, and it was quite interesting. The first and last performances were more interesting, and the rest of the performances were also good. The blindfolded four-man fight in the middle was the funniest. Just buy a regular ticket, the inner field is prone to water spills, and the VIP is in a glass room, which is boring
