Erjiang Temple Bridge is located in the south of Huayang City, at the confluence of Jiang'an River and Fuhe River. In the fifth year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1825), it was built by donations from the Erjiang Temple. It was originally named "Erxian Bridge" and later called Erjiang Temple Bridge. It was rebuilt in the fourth year of Guangxu (1878). It was repaired again in the seventh year of the Republic of China. The bridge is 115 meters long and the bridge deck is 8 meters wide. It is a 7-hole arched stone bridge, with the middle hole 20 meters high and a span of 7 meters. In order to reduce the water, a huge fish mouth was built on the bridge pier. A copper sword is hung under the arch of the middle hole. The four big characters "Heavenly Reason and Conscience" were engraved on the arch surface, and Tai Chi patterns were printed between the characters. It is said that it was written to commemorate the craftsmen's retreat from the remaining funds for bridge repair. The characters were destroyed in the winter of 1966. In 1969, the transportation department allocated funds for repair and reinforcement, and cars can pass through. It was listed as a municipal cultural relic protection unit in April 1981

Jiang'an River and Fu River meet in Huayang, Chengdu. It was built in Daoguang period of Qing Dynasty, 200 years ago. It was built by the nearby Erjiang Temple with donations, so it is called Erjiang Bridge, also known as Erxian Bridge. It is now listed as a municipal cultural relic and cars are prohibited from passing. Erjiang Temple Bridge, Erjiang Temple and Nanhu Park together form the Nanhu Scenic Area in Chengdu.
I also saw it when I was on a business trip. After dinner, I crossed the bridge to see the night view. It was very beautiful.
Erjiang Bridge - There is no Erjiang under Erjiang Bridge, and the immortals are far away on Erxian Bridge. The only provincial protected bridge in Huayang, the resident of Tianfu New District with heavy traffic, is probably Erjiang Bridge, which has been stepped on by countless people but never paid attention to. It is located next to the new Erjiang Bridge. You can see a stone bridge surrounded by a pile of fences. It is Erjiang Bridge. Because the river channel was widened, the length of the bridge could not meet the traffic needs and it has been abandoned. Today, you can go through the vegetable field next to the fence to get on the bridge. The shape of Erjiang Bridge is ordinary, but at least it has a long history and has been rated as a provincial protected bridge. It is said that during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the prefect of Huayang County raised funds to build this bridge to facilitate the people to travel between the two sides of Funan River. On the day of its completion, several dignitaries were invited to cut the ribbon. Before they got on the bridge, they saw two beggars who looked like Jigong swaggering on the bridge. When they were about to scold them, the beggars disappeared. Everyone was surprised. It was said that the gods had descended to the earth, so it was Erxian Bridge. Later, it was read too fast and became Erjiang Bridge. In fact, there are no two rivers crossing here. The confluence of Jiang'an River and Funan River has disappeared in the changes of history. There is also Erjiang Temple next to Erjiang Bridge, which is also a small and pitiful ordinary temple. People in the south of the city believe in money more than in gods and Buddhas. Although this temple is in the downtown area, it is still a little short of incense. I don’t know whether the temple came first or the bridge. Jin Wenjiang and Yin Pixian, beggars came from Shuangliu County, which is reasonable. The long bridge lies on the waves, with low ornamental value, one star, not recommended.
Huayang Ancient Bridge has been listed as a cultural heritage site. It has a lot of connections between the two sides of the Fuhe River, and has a deep relationship with it. I hope that as the city develops, its protection will remain the same.
