Huangjia Guandimiao Sceneic Area

The Chengde Royal Guandi Temple Attraction is located 20 meters outside the palace wall on the southwest side of the Lizheng Gate of the Mountain Resort. It was built in the tenth year of Yongzheng's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1732).

The Guandi Temple was expanded with two side courtyards in the 25th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign, and rebuilt in the 43rd year of Emperor Qianlong's reign, making the temple more in line with the scale and level of the royal temple. When the new temple was completed, Emperor Qianlong inscribed the imperial plaque "Zhongyi Fu Mo", erected two imperial steles, and personally went into the temple to burn incense and pay homage. The rebuilt Guandi Temple is more magnificent and more fully equipped. Since then, it has not only been an important temple for court officials, leaders of various ethnic groups, and foreign envoys to burn incense and worship Buddha in Rehe, but also a place for the headquarters. After hundreds of years of vicissitudes, the Guandi Temple has become a ruin. Later, in 2002, more than 20 large and small halls were rebuilt and restored, and more than 40 statues were restored. It mainly worships Guandi, and has built the Sanqing Hall, the God of Wealth Hall, the Medicine King Hall, the Holy Mother Hall, etc.

The two imperial steles in the Guandi Temple are both made of Yingwu stone. There are four coiled dragons on the top of the stele, with the dragon heads descending at the four corners. The middle of the stele is engraved with "Imperial Pen", and the body of the stele is engraved with twelve dragons, with text on both sides and sea carvings on the sides.
