Nice Small Park
Cato Park is a nice small park in Charleston. It has hills and hiking trails. It has hills and wild deer. The 9-hole golf course needs work, but it is a municipal and therefore with minimum funding.
Average
This is not the best park in Charleston, Coonskin is much better. It has a small playground for kids and a golf course.

Enjoyable golf course
Not for those on the PGA tour but fun to play, and not very expensive. Pools are very nice, in the summer. Several tennis courts are available. The park is easy to access, not far off the interstates...
