A large park around the river. In addition to enjoying the breeze by the river, you can also see the large statue of Mao Zedong! It's a long way to get in from the subway, and the round trip bus cost 40 yuan, which is not cost-effective! I can only say that if you have nothing to do and have time, it's okay to take a walk if you like to exercise.
The night view is stunning. The light show makes it look bustling and prosperous. We took the train. It wasn't crowded. Most people went to see the giant statue of Chairman Mao. We enjoyed the breeze from the Xiang River. The view was also expansive. It's a shame our stay was short. We didn't get to see every scene in detail.
I couldn't reserve tickets, so I had to buy a boat tour because it comes with a free ticket and a sightseeing bus. If I could have reserved tickets and the sightseeing bus, that would have been enough. The view from the park is definitely more stunning. Besides the Chairman Mao statue, there are many pomelo trees in the park, and the scenery is also beautiful. The advantage of the boat tour is that you can see the scenery along the river, such as the Du Fu River Pavilion. There were many volunteers in the park, eleven of them, but they were very orderly and the queues were very quick, which was great. The transportation to Orange Island was not very good, with traffic jams and limited subway capacity. Eleven of them were so numerous that the line to Qinglian Station stretched outside the station.
Strolling around Changsha Orange Island - A perfect fusion of culture and nature On a sunny day in July 2024, I came to the famous Orange Island in Changsha. This beautiful island located in the Xiangjiang River is not only a famous tourist destination in Hunan, but also a landscape treasure full of historical charm and cultural heritage. After landing on the island, the first thing that comes into view is the wide Zhoutou Square. The square is lined with white marble poetry tablets, exuding a strong historical atmosphere. Walking through it, it seems to have traveled back to the prosperous scene of the past. On the other side of the square are orange trees with lush branches and leaves, colorful and mouth-watering. This is the famous "Hundred Mu Orange Garden", which makes people linger. Continuing forward, I came to Wentiantai. Here you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire Orange Island, the green waves of the Xiangjiang River, and the lush trees in the island, just like a fairyland. It is said that this was once a holy place for the monks of Yuelu Mountain to think about life, which makes people feel deeply. Next to Wentiantai is the Zhoutou Songju Pavilion, an exquisite wooden pavilion that not only highlights the characteristics of Lingnan architecture, but also incorporates modern design elements. Sitting in the pavilion, enjoying the scenery and drinking tea is a rare and pleasant time. Orange Island not only has rich natural scenery, but also retains many historical and cultural heritages. Passing through the bamboo garden and peach garden, I came to the Hunan Culture Exhibition Hall. The hall displays many precious cultural relics and historical materials, vividly telling the long history of Hunan culture. Finally, I came to the musical fountain. I saw the fountain water column rising into the sky, echoing with the rhythm of the music, forming a moving waterscape painting. Being in it, I feel relaxed and happy, as if I were in a paradise. In general, Changsha Orange Island combines natural landscapes and historical culture, exuding unique charm everywhere. Whether it is strolling in the island, climbing up to look far, or visiting historical culture, it can bring tourists a brand new experience. This is not only a tourist attraction, but also a rare treasure house of cultural landscapes. I believe that every tourist who visits here can feel the long history and beauty of nature.

The island head faces the green Lushan Mountain, and Lushan Mountain also has feelings for me. Rain hits Xiaoxiang through the distant green, and clouds across Chuyue hide the distant peaks. Fish float and sink with the waves, and the sun shines on the river beach and the sun turns clear again Pointing to the mountains and rivers with many words, the elegance and spirit are the scholars. Orange Island is located on the center of the river, and the huge bust of Chairman Mao is the essence. The scenic area is conveniently accessible, and you can take the subway to enjoy the river view, pay tribute to the great man, and understand the intersection of history and time. Remember to make an appointment in advance during holidays to avoid being unable to enter the park
Orange Island, located in the center of Xiangjiang River in Changsha City, Hunan Province, is a great place where natural scenery and human history complement each other. The island has distinct four seasons and is shaded by green trees, especially the thousands of flowers, plants and vines, which add infinite vitality and vigor to this river oasis. Orange Island has a profound historical and cultural heritage. It was once the location of "River Sky Dusk Snow", one of the eight scenic spots in ancient Xiaoxiang. There is also the masterpiece "Qinyuanchun Changsha" left by Mao Zedong in his youth, which makes this land full of the breath and passion of the red revolution. The art sculpture of Mao Zedong in his youth at the head of the island is 32 meters high and magnificent. It is the largest art statue of a great man in China, which makes people awe-inspiring. Visiting Orange Island, you can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Xiangjiang River, but also feel the historical changes and cultural heritage of the city of Changsha.
