Cape Point

Traveling with a group in South Africa, we came to the world-famous Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, took a cable car to Cape Point, and saw the lighthouse and road signs pointing to all parts of the world. In 1919, the Cape of Good Hope built the brightest lighthouse in Africa to guide passing ships. Visitors climbed to the top of the 238-meter-high Cape Point and overlooked the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean, where the water and sky merged into one, and the smoke and waves were vast.

Cape Point is a very spectacular viewpoint with a older lighthouse on the top and a newer lighthouse close to the shore.

A very beautiful and special place with a variety of different beaches and scenery. There are great viewpoints and tidal pools and even though there seemed to be a lot of people, it wasn't crowded at all. I would suggest going by car and drive around as it is a big park. There is also a variety of small animals roaming around freely: springboks, ostriches and baboons. We had a great time here !

This is a scenic spot on the Cape of Good Hope, where the lighthouse is located. The road to the lighthouse is also relatively easy to walk, and you can reach the top in about 15 minutes. You can also take a cable car, but I personally don't think it's necessary. The scenery along the small road is very beautiful, and it's nice to walk around. The wind at the Cape of Good Hope is indeed famous. It's impossible to stand at the lighthouse, and the wind blows you away. So there have been many shipwrecks and stories here since ancient times.

The highest point in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve is Cape Point, so there is a lighthouse here. It is also the best spot to watch the confluence of the two oceans. It takes about half an hour to climb the mountain from the parking lot to the tower. The scenery along the way looks like postcards. There are also some wild animals. It is a very comfortable place.

Coming to South Africa, I really feel that people and nature live in harmony. There are wild animals everywhere. The Atlantic Ocean is relatively cold, and the Indian Ocean is relatively hot, so the two winds meet to form a strong wind, but the junction of the two oceans cannot be seen with the naked eye. It can only be analyzed from the composition of the seawater. The minerals of the Atlantic Ocean are relatively rich. It is inevitable that the wind is strong here. Most people take the mountain train up and walk down. It only takes ten or twenty minutes to walk down. But be careful of the baboons here. They often steal food and grab people and bags. Just don't show up in front of them with food and drinks.
