Kazinczy Street Synagogue

This is the largest synagogue in Europe and you may also hear it referred to as The Great Synagogue. It is a fascinating building with a rich history, and is a nice memorial to the Jewish people who were persecuted during World War Two. The interior is even more impressive than the outside so I definitely recommend going in. The Hungarian Jewish Museum is also in the same building and is worth visiting too, it's best to pay for a guided tour if you want to learn some interesting facts.

Lots of history in this building and area. They have a walking tour available that covers the Jewish area and the history of the Jewish Ghetto. A different tour covers inside the Synagogue. Well worth it to do both tours - about an hour each with very informative guides.
