    Searching water

Went as for most people for a concert. I wanted to drink water and I think that they want to be sustainable and reuse cups is great but the tap water was warm and there was no other option. At the interval people were queuing for water and it wasn’t being topped up. There were only two people serving the whole bar. Total chaos. If you are banning people bringing in water please make it accessible and preferably cold

Avoid the upper tier front row as the legroom is very restricted, which causes discomfort.

We chose front row upper tier for a music gig. Immediately regretted our choice. The access to our seats was dangerous. As normal everyone has to stand to let you pass BUT due to boxed in cables? the floor is reduced. Squeezing by was precarious. Once seated whilst the view and sound was great we couldn’t enjoy it due to being so contorted. It ruined the experience which was a real shame. We will only return for standing gigs. What a bad design and in an evacuation it could result in a serious accident.

    The architects should be fined

OK, if you have stall or back tier seating, good for you. But if you are unlucky enough to get side tier seating, just throw away your ticket. The side tier seating is 2 rows, one much the other so your feet are at the head level of the people in front of you, only accessible from one side with random bars preventing entry entry/exit from other directions for absolutely no reason, and not enough leg room for a 5'11" person to have their feet flat on the ground in a normal seating position in front of them. The entire show I was shifting to try to get comfortable, with my knees pressed into mesh netting in front. If you were to intentionally design seating to cause stress and discomfort, this would be it. Then, when the thousands of people head to the toilets at the break, you'll find long queues because the facilities are so small. The men's on lower tier is so small (about 3 urinals and one cubicle) that the cubicle door opens into the space where someone is standing at the urinal, meaning someone taking a leak has to actually move to the side of the urinal to let the person in or out! I cannot believe they had the chance to design the best possible venue for Bristol, spent £130 million, and this is what they designed. Was it designed by 3ft architects who couldn't work out that every show has a break at which point thousands of people will need to use the toilets?! Unbelievable. If it was still called Colston Hall, the name would be far less offensive than the decisions made by the architects.
