Shijing Mountain is commonly known as Xiaoxitian, with an altitude of 450 meters. It is not only the origin of the engraving of Fangshan Stone Scriptures, but also the place where the Buddha's relics were unearthed. 4196 pieces of Sui and Tang stone scriptures are national treasures. Many historical relics represented by Leiyin Cave and Jinxian Princess Pagoda are of extremely high value. According to research, the stone scriptures were first engraved in the 12th year of Sui Daye (605 AD). The monk Jingwan engraved the scriptures on stone to protect the Dharma. The sutra engraving business has gone through six dynasties, namely Sui, Tang, Liao, Jin, Yuan and Ming, and lasted for 1039 years. 1122 Buddhist scriptures, 3572 volumes, and 14278 pieces were engraved and stored in 9 scripture caves in Shijing Mountain and the underground cave of Yunju Temple. The scale and duration are rare in the history of world culture. It is comparable to the world-famous Great Wall and the Grand Canal. It is a rare and precious cultural heritage in the world.

Shijing Mountain is located in Fangshan, Beijing, close to Yunju Temple. It is the Yunju Temple's Sutra Cave! After being renovated in 2017, it was opened separately. You need to climb the mountain. There are nine caves in total on the upper and lower floors. It is definitely worth a visit!

The mountain is not high and the area is not large, so it is easy to walk around. The significance is indeed extraordinary!!!
The temple with the most existing stone-carved sutras in the world has been included in the list of future world cultural heritage. After visiting this thousand-year-old temple with a history of seven dynasties, you will be deeply shocked and moved by the monks' unremitting spirit of passing on the Buddhist teachings!
Yunju South Tower and Shijing Mountain after the rain! Life is short or rough, honorable or helpless, strong or fragile, happy or sad, they always accompany us. If you put aside all the worldly thoughts in your heart, you will feel the vastness of the world, and your heart will be unblocked, as the saying goes, "When there is dust in your eyes, the three realms are narrow, and when there is nothing in your heart, the bed is wide."
I rode my horse up the hill and looked back at the misty forest. I saw a northern squirrel and my anger was mostly gone. Yunju Temple is worth a visit. This is my second visit. I like the North Tower area the most. It was said before that the North Tower was a Liao Dynasty tower. The latest archaeological research found that the tower's Sumeru pedestal was probably built in the Tang Dynasty!
The stone sutras of Yunju Temple are famous, and so is the pagoda! The sculptures in the vaults of the Tang Dynasty pagoda in the 10th year of Kaiyuan are so beautiful! And there are Buddhas on three sides of its vaults! Most of the other three small Tang Dynasty pagodas only have stone sculptures on one side of their vaults! The South and North Pagodas of Yunju Temple are both legendary! Especially the North Pagoda!
