Hall of Preserving Harmony (Baohedian)

Baohe Palace was built in the 18th year of Ming Yongle (1420), after several burning and reconstruction, the main beam is still the building of the Ming Dynasty. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, the temple was named Jingcheng, Ming Jiajing 41 years (1562) was renamed Jianji Temple, Qing Shunzhi two years (1645) began to be named Baohe Palace. "Protection" from the "Easy Sutra", meaning "the desire not to go outside, the spirit of God", that is, the spirit to be single, to maintain the harmony of all things in the universe. There is a royal road stone carved with clouds, dragons, seawater and cliffs in the middle of the Baohe Temple. It is called Yunlong Stone Carving, which is the largest stone carving in the Forbidden City, weighing 250 tons, and re-carving for the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. In the cliffs, seawater and flowing clouds, there are nine mouths of the dragon, the image is full of dynamic, full of vitality.

Baohe Temple, one of the three main temples outside the Forbidden City, is located behind the Zhonghe Temple. Baohe Palace architectural design is exquisite and clever, appearance: the upper and lower corners are placed 9 small animals, the palace: using the column construction practice, the space is very spacious, of course, there are many kinds of construction designs worth savoring.

Baohe Palace, the last palace pavilion of the three main palaces outside the Forbidden City, traditional palace-style architecture, its main structure is the architecture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The function of Baohe Temple is different in different dynasties and ages, but in my view, its function is more to hold and royal related matters. And visitors came here to see the largest stone carving of the Forbidden City in front of the main palace - Yunlong stone carving; Visiting the pillar below the thousands of stone carving faucet, when it rains, you may see the scenery of thousands of dragons spitting water; then look at the hall covered with bricks.

Baohe Palace is the essence of the Han palace architecture, belonging to a temple-style building in the Forbidden City of Beijing. Ming Yongle was built in 18 years (1420), and several times burned and rebuilt. The existing main beam is still a Ming Dynasty building. The temple was named in the beginning of the Ming Dynasty. Ming Jiajing was renamed the Jianji Temple in 41 years (1562), and the temple was named Baohe Temple in the second year of Qing Shunzhi (1645). "Baohe" is from the Yijing, meaning "the desire is not to go outside, the spirit is kept", that is, the spirit is dedicated to maintain harmony between the universe.

The Baohe Palace was used differently in the Ming and Qing generations. The former emperor of the Ming Dynasty often changed clothes here. When the queen and prince were listed, the emperor was congratulated in this palace. Every year in the Qing Dynasty, on New Year's Eve and the 15th of the first month, the emperor gave banquets to nephews, princes and ministers of one or two products. The scene was very spectacular. The father of the gift, the banquet of the family members of the official posts and the examination of each department are held in Baohe Temple. At the end of each year, the Zongren Mansion and the Ministry of the Ministry of the People's Republic of China fill in the Zongshiman, Mongolian, Han Army and the Han Foreign Office of the provinces.
