Beijing Tianmen Mountain

This is Tianmen Mountain in Miyun, not the one in Mentougou. There are mountains and water, lush vegetation and nice scenery. And it is a circular route that I like, and I don't go back. The naturally formed mountain doorway was formed naturally billions of years ago, which is quite shocking. You can go up to the top of Tianmen along the last metal step, and you can see the whole view of Miyun Reservoir and Lupiguan Great Wall in the distance. The scenery is very good. However, the metal staircase is quite steep, and it is quite creepy to climb up, but it is worth it to grit your teeth and climb up to see such a beautiful scenery. The mileage and climbing difficulty are medium, not difficult. There are not many people in the scenic area, and some places are slightly dilapidated. There are parking lots, toilets, shops and other supporting facilities at the door. The parking fee is 15 yuan. After getting off the highway, you have to drive a long mountain road, but the location is along the Miyun Reservoir, and there are many scenic spots nearby, such as Yunmeng Mountain, Heilongtan, Pearl Lake, etc. If you stay in a B&B for two days on the weekend, it is still good to take this place as one of the attractions.

Generally speaking, it's not bad, but some of the mountain roads don't have guardrails, so be careful. It's best to bring a trekking pole. The scenery is pretty good after climbing up. It's best to bring water and food outside the scenic area, as it's hard to buy them after entering. There are two roads in total, and it's best to take the right one (the road to Hongliwang). I went up from the right and down from the left. The road on the left is really hard to walk, so be sure to choose carefully. I wish everyone a good experience!

The scenic area is along the Baihe River in Miyun, and there are many scenic spots around it. Parking is 10 yuan. Some sections of the road to the entrance are relatively narrow. The scenic area is relatively wild, and the facilities are average. The advantage is that there are fewer people and it is quiet.

Tianmen Mountain is located in Liukeyu, Shicheng Town, Miyun District, Beijing (100 kilometers from Beijing). The main scenic spot "Tianmen Cave" (also known as "Pole Eye") was formed 120 million years ago. It is more than 800 meters above sea level, about 60 meters high and 40 meters wide. It is said to be the pole eye used by Erlang Shen to carry a pole when he carried the mountain to fill the sea. The cave is embedded in the cliff and is suddenly transparent, like a gate to heaven. Tianmen Mountain got its name from this. Because it is located in the north, we are used to calling it "North Tianmen Mountain". Tianmen Mountain Ecological Natural Scenic Area consists of "Tianmen Cave", "Tiantai Viewing", "Maple Forest Stream (Pole Stream)", "Strange Peaks and Rocks", "Wild Plant Viewing Garden" and so on.

Tianmen Mountain Natural Scenic Area is located in Liukeyu Village, Shicheng Town, Miyun County, Beijing. The scenic area is 4 kilometers long, covers an area of ​​3,000 acres, and has more than 40 scenic spots. The main scenic spot "Tianmen" is also known as "Ban Pole Eye", with an altitude of more than 800 meters, a height of 60 meters, and a width of 35 meters. According to legend, it was the pole eye used to wear a pole when Erlang Shen carried the mountain to fill the sea. When Erlang Shen was halfway through the mountain, he saw that the pole eye was about to break, so he put down the mountain. The pole eye in the south is in Zhangjiajie, Hunan, and the pole eye in the north is in Liukeyu Village. The cave is embedded in the cliff, and it is suddenly transparent like a gate to heaven. Tianmen Mountain got its name from this. Because it is in the north, people call it "Bei Tianmen Mountain". It takes about two hours to climb to the top. You can overlook the Miyun Reservoir from above. If you are thirsty, you can buy water on the top of the mountain. ￥10 is not expensive. They also carry it on their backs to sell. It is understandable that they earn some hard-earned money. You can take a small loop at the top of the mountain and see the views to the east, south, west and north. You can choose another route to go down the mountain instead of repeating the same route. The only highlight of this attraction is the view of the Miyun Reservoir, and the rest can be regarded as an excuse to charge a fee!

It's a great scenic spot. Not many people go there. It's very wild. Some roads are still relatively primitive, but I just like this style. There are no traces of artificial carving. You can also climb to the top of the mountain, walk to the natural bridge, and enjoy the sea breeze.
