Bavaro Beach

Bavaro Beachis located in the Punta Cana region in the eastern part of the Caribbean island nation of the Dominican Republic, facing the Atlantic Ocean. Its fine white sand stretches for over 10 km, and offshore coral reefs block waves from the open ocean, keeping the water calm year-round. The water transitions from deep blue to light turquoise, and with its gentle depth, it is perfect for swimming and wading. The beach itself is very wide, so even with the many resorts lining the coast, it doesn't feel crowded when you take a stroll. With rows of coconut trees on one side and gentle waves lapping the shore on the other, walking barefoot on the sand is a very pleasant experience.
