    on Nov 4th 1493 Columg arrived to Sainte Marie , there is a memorial, but apparently nobody takes care of it ... it has an historical aspect to be there otherwise not so interesting ...

    Pity, they should build a museum here..maye a replica of Santa Maria ship.. that could be an interesting tourist attraction. Instead, we have a monument that is hard to see and the place is nothing sp...

    It's a statue

    The statue marks Columbus' landing in Basse-Terre and gives a little history. It's not a significant piece of art, but when strolling town, it's nice to see.
