The entrance is small, in the city center. Be sure to get the audio guide first. Each painting has a story. I spent three hours looking at it carefully! You can walk to Casa Milà and see the scenery of Barcelona along the way! It's a great time!
Looking at Picasso's works again, I suddenly understood. The primitive, bold and strong things deeply attracted me and stimulated my sensory nerves! Picasso used various painting methods to express his own emotions casually. Basically, it was not purely aesthetic, but rational and abstract. He reconstructed and combined objects to bring people newer and deeper feelings!
I was impressed by the Picasso Museum, especially the evolution of his work from his teenage years to his maturity. My favorites are his blue period and cubism, and I can feel the expression of his emotions and the uniqueness of his creations when I appreciate it. The museum’s architecture is also charming, with a sense of history in the five ancient palaces. Although there are many exhibits in the museum, the layout is reasonable and it doesn’t look crowded. If you are interested in art, this is definitely a place worth exploring in depth
Enter the Picasso Museum in Barcelona: Explore the creative trajectory of the art master The Picasso Museum in Barcelona is an art universe full of fantasy and innovation. The museum consists of five 15th-century mansions connected together, which is full of historical weight. The museum has 4,251 works. It covers Picasso's early period: "Science and Mercy" is an early masterpiece created by Picasso at the age of 15, showing his mature techniques in his youth. The work depicts the doctor and the nun in front of the bed, reflecting the realistic style. "First Communion" is also a work by Picasso when he was 15 years old, showing his early exploration of religious themes. The picture composition is rigorous and the technique is skillful. It is regarded as an important starting point of his artistic career. To the Blue Period and the Rose Period, the theme work "Clown" reflects Picasso's abstract treatment of the character image, which is an important representative work of the transition stage between the "Blue Period" and the "Rose Period". Then to the creation of different stages such as Cubism. Each painting is like a time capsule, carrying Picasso's feelings and thoughts at different stages of his life. Picasso's works incorporate elements such as Cubism and Surrealism into his works, creating a unique artistic style. The "Las Meninas" series consists of 58 works, which are Picasso's re-creations of the Spanish painter Velázquez's paintings of the same name in his later years. The Barcelona Museum has collected many works in this series, showing Picasso's deconstruction and innovation of traditional art. In his paintings, the images of the characters are deconstructed and reorganized, breaking the traditional painting's cognition of space and form, allowing the audience to examine and understand the picture from different angles.
The first Sunday of every month is free, and we happened to catch it, and successfully made an appointment on the spot. I felt like I had picked up 100 million yuan. I really couldn't understand some of the works, but after all, they were masterpieces of masters, so I was very humble and meticulous in appreciating them. I only took a series of bright colors that I liked.
If you understand culture, this is still recommended. The overall style is very good. Some periods are free. You can do some strategy in advance. The location of the museum is not easy to find in the alley, but you can find it by navigation.
