tional Museum of Thailand
A must-visit National Museum of Thailand. The museum is not far from the Grand Palace, it is a combination of the museum and the former royal palace, so there are not only some exhibits about Thai history inside, but also a lot of royal objects are displayed, which can fully understand the royal culture, history, religious culture of various periods in Thailand, etc. The overall museum is not like a different hall in a building in China, it is equivalent to different buildings in a courtyard, you can shuttle back and forth, a total of 13 areas, in fact, if you stroll around, half a day will pass, it is really a good place to kill time, and more importantly, it is very cool, friends!!! What is more important than gaining knowledge and being cool, this is great~ The museum has a place to eat, in the corner behind the fifth area, the fried rice is quite delicious and cheap. But it's not in the city so it's not very cool but it's really cheap. You can also take a break, there is a drink shop next to it, it seems to have air conditioning; there is a cultural and creative shop next to the ticket office at the main entrance, but I was a bit disappointed this time, I feel that the cultural and creative products are much worse than when I came a few years ago, postcards and other things can still be bought~ Some basic information Opening hours: Wednesday-Sunday 8:30-16:00 (*****Note{Monday and Tuesday are holidays!****** Location: 4 Napatan Road, Grand Palace Subdistrict, Panakon District, Bangkok City, Ticket price: 200 baht for foreigners Free tickets: Children, students Guide service: The official guide says that there are foreign volunteers providing English, French, and German services on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9:30, and you need to make an appointment on the website in advance (bring your mobile phone, use the Youdao Translation Officer app to take a photo and translate directly, it's super convenient) Precautions: 1. The dress code is similar to that of the Grand Palace, because it is a royal place, so short skirts and shorts must be knee-length or over the knee, and it is not allowed to wear only straps and vests 2. Photography is allowed, video recording is prohibited, flash and selfie sticks cannot be used 3. Water must be placed at the door and cannot be brought in 4. I read the guide before that I don't allow to bring large bags, for fear of hanging or entangling exhibits, but in fact, there is no problem with canvas bags and other bags (there is a luggage storage service at the ticket offic
one of the must go in Bangkok and it’s a good place to learn about the history of Thailand
loved this museum, I have a great interest in Buddhist art particularly, but even if you don’t, this museum is worth a visit. lots of info, in both English and Thai, and many exhibitions on Thai history, royalty and Buddhism. Tickets are 200baht each, and worth every penny. it’s also a good way to escape the heat for a few hours, if you find the heat difficult.
No matter how many times you come, you won't get bored. Open Wednesday - Sunday, close Monday - Tuesday.
After all the walking, up and down stairs and between builduings there us a small family run Thai restaurant, extremely affordable and with good food (recommended their Pad Thai)
close to other major attractions such as the Grand Palace. Recommend if one has a couple hours free and does not want to spend it in a shopping centre. Recommend to come here beautiful museum
spend days visiting the entire complex) and to learn much more than expected about Thai art, culture and history. Recommend to come here museum. Beautiful art looking

Took the free english tour guide available at 09:30 led by Frederic who was fantastic! Best way to learn about the history and navigate the museum which has many treasures!
