Nandamannya

Built in the middle of the 13th century, the small room in the tower is full of frescoes. There is a painting called "The Temptation of the Devil". It depicts some bare-breasted witches trying to seduce the Buddha, but the Buddha will not be moved when he enters the temple. There is a relief of Garuda, Garuda is Vishnu's mount Roc bird, which translates to Galuda.

Not too famous one in the temple of Gangan, relatively small but quite well preserved and not too many tourists. The local driver seemed to love it and highly recommend us. The photos came out really beautiful.

The temple is not big, it is divided into many different buildings, and can be visited in about an hour. The frescoes are good, and the colors are clear.

The most famous of the temples of Nandamanye is the "Temptation of the Witch" murals painted inside the Buddha Tower. In the murals, the sexy, breast-showing witch tries to seduce the Buddha and disturb the Buddha's meditation, but the Buddha does not move for it. Such plain frescoes are rare in the days of the Bagan, but the guards in the tower forbid visitors to take pictures.
