It was opened in 1975 at the exhibition facility of the Nara Cultural Property Research Institute. The stone structure in the garden was a replica. Immediately after entering, you can see the whole picture at the geomate of Asuka Village. It was well done. The main exhibits in the first exhibition room are excavated relics of the burial mounds including the Takamatsuzuka Kofun, the excavated items and models of the ruins representing Asuka such as the Mizuochi Ruins, which are the first water clocks in Japan, and Asuka-ji Temple and Kawahara-ji Temple.
