The fish soup is very good here, as I remember it from years ago.  I always enjoy eating here.

L'Escaladou

The dining room was comfortable and inviting, and the staff were friendly and helpful.  The Irish young lady in training, and her kind female manager went out of their way to make sure we got what we wanted.  The bartender Maxim was also very nice and accommodating.  My lamb was  delicious and the others in my party enjoyed their meals as well.  And it is SO convenient, right next to the Tourist Information office.

We arrived late for our reservation, but everyone was very understanding.  The service was excellent and the food was surprisingly delicious. We will certainly return if we&#39;re in Arles again.

Since our previous pre-covid visit to Arles in 2019, the style of food has changed.  Although the food was very good, this is no longer the tapas restaurant we remembered, which was slightly disappointing.

Nice restaurant in central Arles with a decent amount of vegetarian options, would recommend.

We just spent 6 days around Provence and the food was great, but this was our absolute favorite spot. The food and wine were amazing and they had all of our favorites (escargot and duck among others) and the best creme brulee I&#39;ve had. The atmosphere was charming and authentic. I can&#39;t wait to return.

This charming Arles restaurant is a real find. Every dish is a &quot;Wow!&quot;. We had the Crispy Goat Cheese &amp; Fig Jam appetizer which is served with salad and is a generous portion for two.  For the main course, I had Lamb Shank which was very tender with a delicate gravy, served with an array of perfectly cooked vegetables. My companion had the Petite Boulliabaise which was far from petite! For dessert we shared the best Creme Brulee I&#39;ve ever had and I have been coming to France for many years. It was served with a unique homemade vanilla ice cream. Our bill for 84E was very reasonable for the quality of the food, service and ambience. There are less expensive restaurants in Arles but none as enjoyable

We had a fantastic meal at L&#39;Escaladou. Every dish, whether it was fish, bull meat, or even the children&#39;s menu, exceeded our expectations. The chef is truly remarkable. Visit before they earn too many Michelin stars!
