Lovely bistro not far from the main centre. Lovely food, nicely presented. Buzzy atmosphere even on a very hot Wednesday lunchtime. Outdoor seating only available at the weekend which seems a shame.

The restaurant has been open for 5 days for the season. There was only a menu, so no choice. The mouth fun is really simple (a little potato bold).

We had booked at Oxalis, but the young man who received us shared on our request the dishes offered that day by the Hostel de la Tour. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable.

Last night on the restaurant terrace we enjoyed the most delicious savoury crepes-for supper much welcomed after a long journey to Brive enroute to the Alps. The house speciality is the use of traditional Breton "ble noir" - for the crepe base. This a no gluten alternative flour made from buckwheat. The chicken and mushroom filing Crepe Mere was wonderful as was the "burger" crepe -and lovely desserts chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream. Will be our favourite place to eat in Brive. A must for anyone staying in Brive.
