The reason I title my review this is because, I have just read some of the other reviews on here. Whilst walking from our hostel to the s21 museum, we came across a little bakery called kiwi cafe. We had stopped at several places along the way, but seeing that most seemed over priced, we did not stop at any. Then we saw this place. We nipped in and asked for a menu, which was politely given to us. No one pressured us to sit down and let us have a. Little look. We decided that there was plenty (more than enough) on the menu and reasonably priced too, so took a seat by the window, which looked out onto the street, right under the air con. The staff gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and took our order when we were ready, without making us feel pressured into making a fast decision (we hate when that happens). I ordered the tuna croissant (which had plenty of filling and came with fries and Coleslaw) and my girlfriend ordered the minestrone soup (which was a good side and came with garlic bread) and both were really tasty... Definitely worth 3$ each (or something around that price). We also ordered two of the frappes from the long list, one Oreo and one mocha. Both were presented brillianty and came in tall glasses... And were to die for. When the bill arrived, we even saw there was 10% off, which matched the sign on the door! Bonus! Over all, as backpackers, we were very happy with the service, food quality and ambience of the cafe and would most definitely recommend this place to our friends. We were so lucky to stumble on such a lovely little place (that had free wifi too). Surely, this can't be the same place that other people have spoken badly about? Oh... And the cakes were only 60 cents each! Unfortunately we were too full from our lunch, but they all looked lovely!
