Vancouver is great, but I won't be going back—it's just too addictive and therapeutic.

🇨🇦 Canada Place → Gastown
Walking from the waterfront view to the charm of the old town.
One of my favorite days in Vancouver is one without a complicated plan, just strolling from Canada Place and gradually making my way towards Gastown.
It starts with a waterfront view, a cool breeze, and boats docked right in front of you, before the atmosphere gradually changes as you walk into the old town area.
🌊 Canada Place — A starting point with a stunning view.
Canada Place is a great place to start the day, offering views of the bay, boats, and distant mountains.
I prefer walking along the waterfront rather than rushing to take photos with landmarks, because there are plenty of spots to stop and admire the city along the way.
Especially on a clear day, Vancouver looks beautifully serene yet powerful.
🏘️ Gastown — A sudden change of mood.
A short walk from Canada Place leads to Gastown.
From the waterfront view and modern buildings, it gradually changes to cobblestone streets, brick buildings, and the classic Vancouver atmosphere.
What I love is that you don't need a specific destination to enjoy the walk.
I stroll along the streets, stop to look at small shops, and take photos of the street corners. Then let the atmosphere of the neighborhood guide you.
Of course, the must-visit spot is the Gastown Steam Clock 🕰️, but for me, what was more interesting than the clock was the surrounding atmosphere. Each street feels different.
🚶♂️ This route is perfect for walking.
If it's your first time in Vancouver, I recommend trying to combine these two places:
Canada Place → Waterfront → Gastown
No need for multiple transfers, and the distance is just right for walking, taking photos, and stopping at shops along the way.
It's a route that lets you see many different moods of Vancouver in just a few hours — from a waterfront city to a historic district.
For me, this is my favorite version of Vancouver.
No need to rush, just walk at your own pace and you'll find memorable things along the way 🇨🇦
