ā€œExperience a "slow life" getaway in China, breathing in fresh air while soaking up stunning mountain and lake views šŸ’™ šŸ“ 5 Must-Visit Highlights šŸ® Dali Old Town – Stroll through history, savor local delicacies, and snap some stylish photos.ā€@ąø™ą¹‰ąøąø‡ą¹„ąø§ąø—ą¹Œąøžąø²ą¹€ąø—ąøµą¹ˆąø¢ąø§ Ā· 3 days ago
I came to Cangshan (č‹å±±) with fairly modest expectations, but the scenery completely blew me away.

I started by taking the Ximatan (擗马潭) cableway, which brought me close to the summit. The views from the top were spectacular, with the mountains and surrounding landscape stretching out below. After exploring the Ximatan area, I began my descent and took on a roughly 7 km hike towards Zhonghe Temple (äøå’ŒåÆŗ).

The hike turned out to be one of my favourite parts of the experience. The trail was refreshing and peaceful, and surprisingly, there weren't many people around despite visiting during the August peak season. Being able to walk through the mountain scenery without the crowds made the experience feel even more special.

I eventually reached Zhonghe Temple, where I took the open-air gondola down the mountain. It was a great way to end the journey and offered yet another perspective of the surrounding landscape.

Cangshan was definitely one of those places that exceeded my expectations. If you're visiting Dali, I would highly recommend going beyond the cableway and exploring the mountain trails; you might find the quieter journey down to be just as rewarding as the summit itself.

Chasing Autumn Vibes at Chongsheng Temple, Dali šŸ‚āœØ

ā€œAutumn arrived in Dali quietly, the way mountain seasons often do — not with a dramatic burst of color but with a crispness in the air that made me want to walk further than planned.ā€@Lousia Ā· 21 days ago
