M59***26Recently, I walked into the ancient city of Lingling, as if traveling through a thousand years of time. Stepping into the ancient city, the bluestone road winds forward, and the pavilions in the style of Ming and Qing dynasties on both sides are quaint. In Liuzi Street, there are many shops, and you can feel the prosperity of the past. The relief wall of "Eight Records of Yongzhou" at the entrance of the street tells the story of Liu Zongyuan. On the banks of the Xiaoshui River, black-sailed boats sway, and rough singing comes from the fishing drum stage. As night falls, red lanterns light up, and light and shadow interweave, making the ancient city more charming. Here, history and modernity blend, and humanity and nature shine together, which makes me intoxicated and reluctant to leave. Lingling Ancient City is really a shining pearl on the land of Xiaoxiang.
