I bought a senior citizen ticket, which was half price. I felt I could walk more at my own pace, without rushing. The scenery in Huangling was truly beautiful; I strolled around, enjoying the views and the food—a very pleasant trip.

We took the long loop, which took 8.5 hours in total. We took the cable car up and down the Waishuangxi River and traveled counterclockwise. The scenery was fantastic, magnificent, and the blue sky and white clouds were amazing. However, the route along the Sunshine and West Coast was too long, and we missed some key attractions. We felt bad about not going to see them, but we decided to just go with the mindset that we were already there. It was just too tiring, especially since it was all boardwalk.

The ancient buildings in Jiangwan, the chrysanthemums in Xiaoqi, the streams and bridges in Likeng, the morning mist and red maples in Shicheng, and the ancient camphor trees in Yantian were particularly impressive. I'll visit the remaining ones in spring to see the rapeseed flowers.
