Fanjingshan is worth visiting, but it's very crowded, and the cable car wait is long. After taking the cable car up, you still have to walk up a set of steps, which can be difficult for older people. There are sedan chairs available, but they're not cheap. The climb to the top of Fanjingshan isn't as dangerous as advertised. There's a queue, and the movement is slow, but it's not tiring. The scenery at the top is breathtaking.
