The Xiaoqikong and Daqikong Scenic Areas in Libo are absolutely worth a visit. The mountains, water, trees, and bridges here are unlike anything I've ever seen before; the scenery far exceeded my expectations. I will definitely recommend it to my family and friends—they should visit at least once!
It was definitely worth the trip! I visited both Daqikong and Xiaoqikong in one day. The scenery at Xiaoqikong was breathtaking, while Daqikong had a completely different style. I spent nearly ten hours exploring and walked over 20,000 steps.

It's fun and fun. There are not many people. There is no queue for each project. The coaches are all patient young men. The docking is tight and organized. When I went up the mountain in the morning, I was picked up for free by Uncle Yang, a staff member inside. It was a happy and lucky day.
Today I went to Cool Play Forest specifically, and here are a few tips for others. 1. It's quite remote, and the mountain roads aren't easy to navigate by car. However, no taxis would come when we left, and the taxi drivers waiting there were asking exorbitant prices, which was completely unacceptable. 2. The last picture shows my shoes, which are practically ruined, as are my clothes and pants. It's best to bring a second pair of shoes and clean clothes and pants. 3. Shoes can get wet, so it's best to wear moisture-resistant, hard-soled mountain boots. I saw the guides wearing those. I wore soft-soled wading shoes, which weren't particularly good and were uncomfortable when wet. My child wore Keen wading shoes, a better brand, and seemed to have a better experience, as they have hard soles. 3. I have to mention clothing. Although the temperature inside the cave is around 16 degrees Celsius year-round, which sounds quite cold, there's really no need to bring overly thick clothing. I don't even need a jacket; a thin sun-protective jacket is just the right thickness. I was constantly moving around, so I didn't feel cold at all. I was so disappointed with my large bag today; a short-sleeved shirt would have been just fine. 4. It's best to travel light and bring a small waist bag, not just a backpack. There were a few places that were too low, and my backpack got really dirty from scratches. 5. The official insect repellent didn't seem to be very effective; there didn't seem to be any living creatures in the cave.

Libo Ancient Town left a deep impression on me. Its ingenious blend of natural beauty, historical charm, and diverse ethnic cultures makes it a leisure destination worthy of a special trip. Highlights and Tips 🏞️ Its core features a blend of Ming and Qing Hui-style architecture with Jiangnan water village style. It showcases the customs of the four major ethnic groups: Buyi, Shui, Miao, and Yao. It also offers a rich array of intangible cultural heritage experiences (e.g., tie-dye, batik, and lacquer fans). 🍜 Recommended Food: Sour Soup Fish, Tofu Balls, Grilled Fish with Tofu Pudding, Sour Soup Beef, Pickled Sour Meat, Libo Wind-Fried Pork, Fish Wrapped with Chives, Five-Color Flower Rice, and Wild Bayberry Soup. 🛍️ Shopping and Souvenirs: Ethnic silver jewelry, local floral fabrics, and cultural and creative products (e.g., lacquer fans and the Xiaoqikong Bridge refrigerator magnet). ⏰ A half-day to full-day visit is recommended. Visit in the evening to enjoy both the tranquility of the day and the bustle of the night. 🚌 Free admission. The ride from Libo High-Speed Railway Station takes approximately 15 minutes. The drive to the East Gate of the Big and Small Seven Arches takes approximately 26 minutes. You can take bus No. 11 (7 yuan) or a taxi (approximately 50 yuan). ⚠️ Note: Wear comfortable flat shoes (the cobblestone roads are uneven) and pay attention to the weather (heavy rain may affect scenic area openings). The ancient town's charm lies in its personal exploration and experience. ✨ Some personal experiences For me, Libo Ancient Town's most captivating feature is its diverse charm from morning to night. During the day, it's quiet and quaint. You can leisurely stroll through the ancient streets and alleys, savoring the historical charm, or find a place by the waterfront to enjoy the tranquility. At night, the ancient town comes alive with a bustling atmosphere, with quaint buildings and vibrant neon lights complementing each other. The streets bustle with people, brimming with the atmosphere of everyday life. In addition, the ancient town offers a rich variety of ethnic cultural experiences. You can don beautiful ethnic costumes for quaint photos, admire the distinctive architectural ornaments and totem patterns of each ethnic group up close, or experience the charm of intangible cultural heritage by trying out traditional crafts like tie-dyeing, batik, and lacquer fan making in an intangible cultural heritage workshop. Tasting local delicacies is also a must-do. Libo Ancient Town boasts a variety of local specialties, such as sour soup fish, tofu dumplings, grilled fish with tofu pudding, and sour soup beef, as well as pickled sour meat, Libo wind-cured pork, fish wrapped in leeks, five-color flower rice, and wild bayberry soup. 💎 In summary Overall, Libo Ancient Town is a conveniently located, free-entry destination that blends natural scenery, history, culture, and ethnic customs. Whether you're looking for a quick break or a deeper immersion in the diverse culture of Qiannan, this destination has it all. Enjoy your time in Libo Ancient Town!
