Ancient architecture, clear springs, and colorful sculptures—Jinci Temple offers a glimpse into the roots of Shanxi's cultural heritage. It's long been said that "a trip to Taiyuan is incomplete without visiting Jinci Temple," and today, standing at the foot of Xuanweng Mountain, I finally feel the true essence of Shanxi's cultural lineage, accumulated over three thousand years.

My first visit to Jinci was twelve years ago; the next time I came with my daughter, who was then twenty. My memories of Jinci from before were hazy, as I had only briefly visited, like a hurried visit. This second visit brought a different feeling. Although the weather was hot, the sky was high and clear, the trees were lush and green, and the pavilions stood in neat rows. The water of the Fountain of Youth was clear and tranquil; the thousand-year-old pines and cypresses, the straight poplars, and the quiet stage stood silently, telling the story of this thousand-year-old garden's experiences through wind, rain, snow, and the smoke of war. Come to Jinci; its history is so long and rich. Jinci will give you many stories and answers you want to hear.

This is a truly excellent attraction; one day isn't enough to see everything. The performances are fantastic, and the sets are visually stunning. The overall atmosphere exudes a distinctly Beijing artistic vibe. The景区 facilities are also very comprehensive and well-organized.

It is a quite good choice, for sure I would book it in my further trip. Thanks again!!!

Our guide, Guoguo, was incredibly gentle, patient, and attentive. She contacted us beforehand and even kindly helped us put on our headphones upon arrival. During the tour, she paid attention to everyone, ensuring no one was overlooked. The route was well-planned, avoiding crowds while carefully covering each point. She even brought an iPad for us to review details, explaining everything beautifully and engagingly. Thank you, guide Guoguo!

I couldn't get tickets to the museum in advance, so I bought this ticket which included both the performance and a visit to the museum. The performance was very good and worth the price. Children under 12 are free. I went on a weekday, and it was quite crowded.

It’s a very enjoyable museum with a beautiful garden that you can enjoy before or after the museum visit. I had a late appointment and maybe because it was end of day, the garden was very enjoyable when I had a chance to walk around it. The museum itself isn’t big but it has a very nice collection of artefacts related to the city going back to a few thousand years ago. If you have a moment in Xi’an and want to know more about the city, recommend.

The guide was very familiar with the contents of the Xi'an Museum. Starting from the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, the guide gave a detailed introduction to the historical changes of Chang'an City. The content was rich and well-narrated, and the guide interacted with us enthusiastically. It was an unforgettable visit and learning experience.

Our guide, Yue Liang, was exceptionally responsible, providing engaging and entertaining content. She was also very approachable, and her service throughout the tour gave us a truly immersive experience, a true dialogue with history! The stories behind each artifact brought them to life. I added her on WeChat; I plan to contact her with any friends I meet in the future.

The tour guide was very professional and a very nice person. She was very responsible, and her explanations were very interesting. The children were able to keep up with the dictation and interact, making it a meaningful museum visit.

Because of the weather, we chose the Qin Dynasty performance. The moment the Terracotta Warriors "emerged" from the ground gave me goosebumps! The audience seats rotated 360° with the story, and the instant the Terracotta Warriors "broke through the earth," the entire theater erupted in applause, and the children were completely mesmerized. The stage moved! Buckle up! I definitely want to see it again next time.

A truly beautiful and breathtaking performance. The main storyline is based on the "Hei Fu Wooden Slips" (China's earliest known family letters) unearthed from the Qin tomb at Shuihudi in Yunmeng. It weaves together the historical events of Qin reforms, the unification of the six states, and the construction of the Great Wall through the growth and patriotism of the ordinary Qin soldier, Hei Fu. The world's first continuous moving audience seating system—1500 seats move along a 220-meter track with the storyline, traversing multiple scenes including archaeological sites, ancient battlefields, and the Xianyang Palace, complemented by immersive water, electricity, fog, and wind effects, 3D holographic projection, and Asia's largest aerial moving stage installation. If you have the chance to travel to Xi'an, I highly recommend seeing this.

Experience the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty in "The Longest Day in Chang'an"! 💕 With a constant temperature throughout the day, it's incredibly comfortable for a full day with kids. The red walls and lanterns at "The Longest Day in Chang'an" are perfect for photos, and there are NPCs to interact with everywhere. Immerse yourself in the splendor of the Tang Dynasty – a perfect blend of family fun and photography! ✅ Top 3 Must-See Performances 1️⃣ "Rainbow Feather Dance" | A holographic court dance, with flowing robes perfect for video recording! 2️⃣ "Tribute from All Nations" | A performance featuring envoys from various countries and flying apsaras, showcasing the magnificence of the Tang Dynasty. 3️⃣ "Feast of Bliss" | The grand finale at 9 PM, featuring all the NPCs and stunning lighting effects. 🔥Exclusive offer for middle and high school students: Admission is only 9.9 yuan with your exam admission ticket! 💡Tips for Visiting: • Follow the official WeChat account in advance to download the program schedule and plan your time precisely to avoid wasting time. • There is a paid baggage storage area in the park; the price is affordable, so you can stroll around without feeling burdened. • Wearing ancient costumes to enter the park will instantly create a stunningly authentic ancient atmosphere for your photos. #TheLongTimeInChangAnThemeStreet #CollegeEntranceExam #GraduationTrip

The entire area is an indoor, temperature-controlled venue, so you can enjoy the summer heat without worrying about the sun or stuffiness, providing an excellent experience. Large-scale traditional Chinese performances are staged throughout the day, including "Rainbow Feather Dance," "Pipa Ballad," and "Tang Dynasty Parade," offering non-stop entertainment. I highly recommend the "Rainbow Feather Dance"—it's ethereal and showcases the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty. This star performance is incredibly popular, so be sure to queue early to secure a good spot! (I arrived late and queued for twenty minutes 🫠). There are also many random NPC interactions, immersing you in the bustling scene of the Tang Dynasty's West Market. The ticket is all-inclusive, offering a one-stop experience of performances, interactive activities, and street photography—great value for money. It's perfect for students traveling together or families with children. The streetscape is exquisitely designed, making it easy to capture stunning photos with an ancient Chinese atmosphere. After exams, unwind and come to Chang'an Street for a unique summer adventure.

The newly opened North Zone exhibition hall offers an excellent experience. The modern, bright, and clean exhibition hall features non-reflective glass display cases that allow for clear viewing of the inscriptions. Combined with digital audio guides, the overall experience far surpasses that of the old exhibition area. Numerous must-see national treasures are on display: the Yan Qinli Stele and the Xuanmi Pagoda Stele showcase the elegant styles of Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan, while others include the Preface to the Sacred Teachings of Wang Xizhi, the Nestorian Stele, and the Six Steeds of Zhaoling. The exhibition area has a clear layout and reasonable zoning, allowing calligraphy enthusiasts to immerse themselves in appreciating the stone carvings from various dynasties. The combination of the old and new halls provides a rich and rewarding experience; a visit is a must for anyone visiting Xi'an who loves history, culture, and calligraphy.

This was one of only two guided tours I visited in Xi'an that didn't require me to take out my phone and write a positive review on the spot after the tour. I booked an 8-person group tour, but it turned out to be just my daughter and me. A young man provided a private guide for us. He was quite skilled, drawing on a wealth of knowledge and classical allusions – a true cultured person. With so few people, the experience was excellent. Anyone who loves classical literature and calligraphy should definitely not miss the Beilin Museum.

This park is very large and has some interesting statues and architecture. However, I do not recommend going in winter. You would have to visit in Spring time since it gets very hot and tiring in the summer time and too cold in the winter time.

This is a huge park that has some interesting architecture to see but it is tiring and has many entrances and exits.I would not go on a sunny or hot day because it would be tiring. The ideal time to visit is in Spring.
