行走在民间的艺术家3 Days 2 Nights Leisurely Tour of Langzhong | A Thousand-Year-Old City Embraced by the Jialing River, Worth Savoring at a Slow Pace! ✨ Recommendation Index: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📍 Core Experiences: Three Kingdoms Culture + Feng Shui Charm + Local Delicacies, Avoiding the Routine for a More Enjoyable Experience! 【Transportation & Accommodation】 Driving is Super Convenient! A direct 3-hour drive from Chengdu. Park at the South Gate Visitor Center or Spring Festival Cultural Square, and walk 10 minutes into the city. Don't believe those roadside "parking guides." For accommodation, I chose a guesthouse just 100 meters outside the ancient city – excellent value! Parking was available downstairs, and the price was half that of inside the ancient city, plus no soundproofing issues like wooden houses. For nighttime photos, choose a river-view room; remember to bring a dehumidifier to combat humidity! 【Must-Visit Spots】 ▪️ Climb Huaguang Tower! The "First Building of Langyuan" truly lives up to its name. Watching the sunset at dusk, the Jialing River shimmers, and the endless expanse of green-tiled rooftops creates a breathtaking scene – perfect for photos without needing editing. ▪️ The Sichuan Provincial Examination Hall is incredibly immersive. Standing in the examination cells feels like stepping back in time, and experiencing a "mock exam" in period costume is incredibly fun. ▪️ Don't miss the "City Parade Performance" at Zhang Fei Temple at 10 am and 3 pm. The actors are incredibly powerful, creating a truly immersive Three Kingdoms atmosphere. The inscriptions and statues are also worth appreciating. ▪️ No need to rush to the attractions! Stroll through the alleys of Shuangzhaizi Street and North Street. The cobblestone streets gleam from countless footsteps, and you might even encounter an elderly woman sewing shoe soles under the red lanterns – this is the true essence of the ancient city. 【Food Must-Try List】 ✅ Zhang Fei Beef: Don't buy the vacuum-packed kind! Find a street stall that cuts it fresh, and pair it with a dish of Baoning vinegar. It's spicy, refreshing, and incredibly flavorful, dry yet tender. ✅ Cultural Road Pig Trotters: Stewed until tender and falling off the bone, full of collagen. Be prepared to queue if you go late, but the price is very affordable. ✅ Sichuan Cold Noodles + Guokui (Flatbread): A long-established shop on Shuangzhaizi Street. Slippery cold noodles mixed with chili oil, paired with freshly baked guokui – a carb-filled treat! ✅ Steamed Buns with White Sugar: Sweet and soft, delicious both hot and cold, keeps well, and makes a great souvenir. 【Tips to Avoid Pitfalls】 1. Beware of "free souvenir photos" near the Imperial Examination Hall and Zhang Fei Temple. Printing starts at 35 yuan. Bring your own tripod for better photos. 2. Prices in the ancient city shops are inflated. Buy local specialties at supermarkets in the city center; you can save half the price on Zhang Fei beef and Baoning vinegar. 3. Wear flat, non-slip shoes! The cobblestone streets are slippery after rain; your feet won't suffer after a day of walking. 4. The ancient city is free to enter. History buffs can choose to buy individual tickets for the key attractions, avoiding the hassle of buying a combined ticket. Langzhong isn't a city for rushing through; it's perfect for slowing down. Spend the morning photographing the deserted ancient streets, enjoying a cup of covered-bowl tea at an old teahouse at noon, and strolling along the riverside in the evening, savoring the river breeze and local snacks. The blend of ancient charm and vibrant local life makes it truly hard to leave!

黄金小薯条Chongqing Happy Valley is quite fun, and even more kid-friendly than Shanghai's Happy Valley. The kids had a blast, and my girlfriends had a blast too. There's even a makeup area! The NPCs there are so pretty and cool! Highly recommended! Chongqing Happy Valley! Whether it's Halloween 🎃👻 or just any other time! Let's go!

Anonymous userA UNESCO World Heritage site, the Dazu complex of Buddhist cave carvings provides a fascinating but exhausting (so many steps) excursion from Chongqing, approximately 90 minutes drive. We were very lucky as we booked to share a mini bus but ended up with a private car just for us with an extremely friendly, helpful and careful driver. As we're both over 65, we got free entry although we had to pay Y20 each for the site shuttle bus. A trip that takes some effort but is certainly worth it.

西山晴雪Jianmen Pass is definitely worth a visit. Li Bai wrote of it as a place where "one man can hold the pass against ten thousand," and only by being there in person can you truly appreciate its grandeur. Moreover, it was late autumn, and the mountains and forests were ablaze with color, a truly beautiful sight.

M2b***faCiqikou Ancient Town, originally named Baiyanchang, was founded during the Xianping reign of Emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty (998-1003). It was renamed Longyin Town because Ming Dynasty Emperor Jianwen, Zhu Yunwen, once retreated in Baolun Temple within the town. The town earned the name "Ciqikou" due to its flourishing porcelain industry during the Qing Dynasty. It was once a major waterway port on the Jialing River and one of the birthplaces of modern industry in Chongqing. Through conservation and development in the late 20th century, it has become the largest and best-preserved ancient town in Chongqing's main urban area, showcasing the Ba-Yu culture. Baolun Temple: Built during the Song Dynasty, it is said to have been the retreat of Emperor Jianwen, with preserved Ming Dynasty architectural features. Hanlin Academy: The remains of a Qing Dynasty academy, showcasing the culture of the imperial examination system. Ciqikou Backstreet: A commercial district blending tradition and modernity, housing boutique hotels, cultural and creative properties, and other 24-hour businesses. Chongqing Memory Museum: An immersive exhibition presents the ancient town's millennia-long history.

Anonymous userAbsolutely fantastic, a must-do activity! The panoramic view of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers in Chongqing at night is breathtaking! The only downside was that the three of us didn't know how to get to the pier to board the boat. Because of time constraints, we were forced to pay an extra 60 yuan for directions! Actually, we later learned that the pier was right outside the first floor of Hongyadong! Don't be silly and not know this!

过风92💖This time in Chongqing, I chose the Chongqing Millennium Smart View Hotel (Jiefangbei-Hongyadong Branch), and the experience was fantastic! I had to share it with you all! 📍 Hotel Location: The hotel is located in the heart of Jiefangbei, within the New Chongqing Apartment complex. Xiaoshizi subway station is downstairs, and it's also very close to the Yangtze River Cableway, just a few minutes' walk from Jiefangbei. Getting to Hongyadong is even more convenient, about an 8-minute walk. 🏨 Hotel Facilities: The hotel rooms are spacious, featuring a sophisticated minimalist design. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer unbeatable views, and every room is a river-view room. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the confluence of the two rivers from your bed, and at night you can see the dazzling night view of Hongyadong. For an even wider view, you can go to the hotel's 6th or 7th floor observation deck to overlook most of Chongqing. The rooms are equipped with smart home devices, and some room types have projectors, perfect for relaxation. 🌃 Hongyadong: Hongyadong is a short walk from the hotel. At night, Hongyadong is brightly lit, resembling a fairytale world. Here are a few recommended photo spots: First, the Qianximen Bridge offers panoramic views of Hongyadong and its reflection in the Jialing River; second, across the street from the first floor of Hongyadong, use your phone's live photo mode with Hongyadong as a backdrop for a cyberpunk-style shot; third, the city night view observation deck on the 11th floor of Hongyadong provides a breathtaking view of the alleyways inside Hongyadong and the nightscape of the Qianximen Bridge. 🍜 Dining Experience: The hotel is surrounded by numerous restaurants. There are many snack shops downstairs where you can enjoy authentic Chongqing noodles, hot and sour noodles, and more. A few minutes' walk to Jiefangbei, there's also the Bayi Food Street, offering various Chongqing specialties like roasted pig brains and Chongqing-style glutinous rice balls—all very authentic. In short, my stay at the Chongqing Millennium Smart View Hotel Jiefangbei Hongyadong Branch allowed me to experience the unique charm of Chongqing. The hotel's excellent location and comfortable facilities added a lot of enjoyment to my trip, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Chongqing!
