🌟 5 Stars – Yehliu Geopark: Rocks With Attitude! 🤣🪨🌊 🌟Booked through Trip.com and everything was super smooth, even smoother than my morning kopi kicking in. Yehliu is honestly one of the funniest and most beautiful places I’ve visited. The rocks here really act like celebrities — the Queen’s Head looks like she’s posing for a 10,000-year photoshoot 👑😂. Mushroom rocks, ginger rocks and all the quirky shapes kept us laughing nonstop. The sea breeze was like free natural aircon 🌬️ and the views were breathtaking. Super easy for kids and elderly; my mum even said, “This place I want to come again!” which is basically her 6-star rating. We took so many photos until my phone almost gave up on life 🤣. The whole place feels like nature’s comedy show mixed with a peaceful seaside walk. Perfect for families, couples, and anyone who just wants to enjoy good vibes, good wind, and good laughs. Totally worth the trip! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Taiwan, will enjoy 😄✨

I liked the red lanterns along the way and the variety of snacks and street food, but it was too crowded since it’s a popular attraction.

Shifen Old Street is located in Pingxi District, New Taipei City. It stretches along the railway, with shops selling sky lanterns and snacks on both sides. Come here on a rainy day, the stone road is shining with rain, and the air is filled with the smell of damp grass and trees, which makes it feel hazy and poetic. When releasing sky lanterns, the store will let you write your wishes indoors first, even if it rains. After the train passes, everyone walks to the railway tracks with umbrellas. The sky lanterns are lit in the rain, and the flames reflect the warm yellow of the paper lanterns. The rain slides down the lampshade, like a layer of transparent gauze. Watching the sky lanterns slowly rise, flickering in the rain and fog and drifting towards the mountainside, it feels like the wishes have become gentle.

Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf is located in Tamsui District, New Taipei City. It was originally a fishing port, but now it has become a tourist wharf. The wooden boardwalk and the White Lover's Bridge are iconic attractions. There are bicycle paths around to ride to the mangroves, or you can go to Tamsui Old Street to eat A Ge and fish ball soup. The chewiness of the grandma's iron egg is very special. There are more people on weekends, but you can find a quiet corner by walking deeper along the wooden boardwalk. There are also snacks and drinks at the Embankment Cafe and Fisherman's Square on the pier, which is suitable for sitting down and enjoying the breeze.

Houtong Cat Village - the locals call it the top of the car, also known as Houtong Cat Street. It is an ancient street of mountain village houses centered on the Guangfuli Chailiao Road area on the hill behind Houtong Station. It was newly planned by Ruifang Town at the end of 2009. of tourist attractions. Most of the cats that live in the Cat Village are no longer afraid of animals due to close contact with tourists for a long time, and some cats will take the initiative to interact with people coquettishly. Houtong was once the largest city in Taiwan's coal mining industry in its early years. It takes about an hour by train from Taipei City. In 2014, the New Taipei City Animal Protection and Epidemic Prevention Office renovated the old Taiwan Railway dormitory at No. 345 Chailiao Road into the "Cat Health Education Information Station", and established the "Cat Sanctuary Preparatory Office" in 2021 to provide cats with "cats" as the main body. It is a good place to live, shows that New Taipei City is an animal-friendly city, and builds Houtong Cat Village into a world model cat village. part 4

Fort San Domingo in Tamsui is such a charming little adventure spot! 🏰✨ Perched on a hill with the river breeze and stunning views, this iconic red-brick fort feels like stepping into a tiny time machine. The mix of Spanish, Dutch and British history makes it extra fun — like visiting three countries in one stop! 😂 The pathways are gentle, the grounds are peaceful, and the bright red walls are so photogenic you’ll accidentally take a lot of photos without noticing 📸💕Inside, you’ll find simple exhibits telling the story of the fort, and the old British Consulate building beside it adds a classy “period drama” vibe. Strolling around is relaxing, and the Tamsui River scenery below is a sweet bonus. 🌅Perfect for families, couples or anyone who just wants a cute cultural stop before heading to Tamsui Old Street for snacks. Highly recommended for a slow, pretty afternoon! 🌿✨

We exploded from Taipei's airport into brilliant sunshine—a rare, victorious blue sky in often-rainy Shifen! The ancient train tracks hummed with energy as countless sky lanterns, painted with wishes, floated upwards. It was a breathtaking symphony of hope.We fueled up on legendary Lou Rou Fan, a savory masterpiece, before our waterfall quest. Our scooter rental was a hilariously wobbly failure, but it was a secret blessing!Skip the ride—the walk is the real adventure. It’s a short, stunning stroll you’d regret missing. The thunderous Shifen Waterfall was our powerful reward, crashing into an emerald pool. We finished by expertly catching the train, hopping between quaint stations to collect unique stamps. A perfect, action-packed day proving the best journeys are found on foot!
