The rich biodiversity of the area is breathtaking, and every heartbeat speeds up with the animals. This trip not only made me feel the power of nature, but also strengthened my determination to protect the environment. It is a soul wash, a soul awakening, and I will always treasure this unforgettable journey.

Grace_cytThe Mara River divides Tanzania and Kenya. To the west of the Mara River is Tanzania, and the savannah here is called Serengeti. To the east of the Mara River is Kenya, and the savannah on the Kenyan side is called Masai Mara. In fact, they are the same East African savannah, and the area of Serengeti is about 10 times that of Masai Mara. Every year, migratory animals such as wildebeests and zebras on the East African savannah will migrate clockwise. From June to August, it is the time when they cross the Mara River. Because the scenery of crossing the river is very spectacular, it is also called the Ferry of the Sky River. I saw the Mara River from a hot air balloon and from a car, and the angles were different and each had its own characteristics. I came here in early July. I saw hippos and crocodiles from the hot air balloon and in the car on the shore, but unfortunately I didn’t see the Ferry of the Sky River. I left a little regret and look forward to coming again next time.
