_cm***31The scenic area is huge! Even after mentally preparing for at least 20,000 steps, I was still shocked to find myself racking up 30,000 steps in a day! The bald cypress trees at Yanque Lake were mesmerizing, like an oil painting, in the autumn morning light. At Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, listening to history was overwhelming. The music stage was so romantic; I sat down, slowed down, and enjoyed a moment of relaxation. Time was too short; I didn't get to visit Meiling Palace yet. Maybe another time!

yxj003The Nanjing Museum effectively functions as the Jiangsu Provincial Museum. It is one of the earliest museums established in China, comprising a history hall, an art hall, a special exhibition hall, a digital hall, a Republican era hall, and an intangible cultural heritage hall. Admission is free and by reservation only; audio guides are available for a fee. The exhibition showcasing the Republican era is quite unique and unlike any other provincial museum I've seen.

Anonymous userThe set design was fantastic, and there were plenty of rest areas within the exhibition area. Including the B1 archaeological site hall, there were four floors in total, making it quite a fun place to explore. I learned a lot, and most of the exhibits were actual unearthed artifacts. There were also many children at designated points for guided tours, which was excellent.

yxj003The China Imperial Examination Museum is located east of the Confucius Temple in Nanjing, systematically showcasing the ancient Chinese imperial examination system and culture. Officially opened in 2017, it has been designated a National First-Class Museum and is the largest museum in China dedicated to the imperial examination system. Admission is 50 yuan, and the museum is divided into North and South sections. The North section is larger and contains the main exhibition area; a guided tour takes over an hour. The South section, representing the Jiangnan Examination Hall, is smaller and can be visited in about half an hour.

230***82A museum well worth a visit. Located in Chaotian Palace, the site is the most complete existing Ming and Qing dynasty official architectural complex in Jiangnan, carrying the echoes of 2,500 years of history since the Spring and Autumn Period. Originally built during the Hongwu reign of the Ming dynasty and rebuilt in the fifth year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing dynasty, the ancient architectural complex faces south, with the Confucian Temple in the center, the prefectural school on the east, and the government offices on the west, its layout rigorous and its atmosphere solemn. The finest cultural relics are housed in the hall to the left of the Chong Sheng Hall. The museum displays a dazzling array of over 100,000 artifacts, telling the story of the elegance of the Six Dynasties and the splendor of the Ming dynasty. National treasures such as the blue-and-white porcelain plum vase depicting Xiao He chasing Han Xin and the jade belt with gold-inlaid cloud and dragon patterns are breathtaking. In the exhibition hall, white porcelain relief vases, gold ornaments, and ancient costumes shimmer quietly under the lights, each piece a testament to time.
