Gulangyu Island, though small, boasts a diverse array of international architecture, accompanied by the sounds of music and waves. Winding alleys lead to secluded spots, flowers adorn walls, and cats lie on steps. Sunlight illuminates the island from its vantage point, revealing buildings blending seamlessly with the sea; in Shuzhuang Garden, the tide and music echo each other. Spend the night in a guesthouse, listening to the waves through wooden windows, the moon shining on red-tiled roofs. The bustling commercial streets quickly quiet down. The island may be small, but every step reveals a scenic view; only a leisurely stroll allows you to truly appreciate its charm.

Sunset time is hard to get, but other times are still possible. We went early in the morning. The cable car was built quite early and has a weight limit of 340 catties. Luckily, the guy behind me and I were both overweight, so we each got a private cabin and 40 minutes of alone time.

Despite encountering multiple crosswinds while crossing the 16.23-kilometer-long Taiwan Strait Bridge, we still made it to this scenic spot, the closest point on mainland China to Taiwan. We walked the first half, taking photos along the way, and took the shuttle bus back the second half.

The Wuyishan hiking trail starts from Yongle Palace at the North Gate, goes to the Dahongpao Scenic Area, passes through various streams, and finally reaches the Water Curtain Cave. You can see various tea plantations. Exit at the North Gate. Allow at least 4 hours. The Wuyishan hiking trail is quite tiring, with constant ups and downs; be careful of the steps and stones. The second day is rafting. Enjoying the mountain scenery from the water is very relaxing. In the off-season, you can basically go anytime, but boats depart when there are at least 8 people. A guide costs 20 RMB per person, so a guide is still necessary. Currently, the entire rafting trip takes 100 minutes. After rafting, you'll reach Song Street and Wuyi Palace, then exit the scenic area. The two-day ticket includes two days of sightseeing bus access, which is great.

This casual visit to the scenic spot was surprisingly patriotic. We happened to catch a performance, which instantly made the ticket price worthwhile. Reading the introduction, I learned that the events occurred only about eighty years ago, and I couldn't help but reflect that only a strong nation can provide a happy life. I definitely want to bring my child, who aspires to be a soldier, to visit this place sometime.

Qingyuan Mountain: A Thousand-Year Poetic Journey Embraced by Mountains and Sea The most delightful encounter of my trip to Quanzhou was undoubtedly Qingyuan Mountain, a hidden gem where nature and culture blend seamlessly. As a national 5A scenic area and a dual World Heritage site, it avoids the hustle and bustle of popular tourist spots, yet at an altitude of 498 meters, it holds a profound and ethereal beauty that transcends millennia. Stepping through the mountain gate, a winding cobblestone path ascends, flanked by lush forests and babbling brooks—the idyllic scene of "a clear spring flowing over rocks" immediately comes into view. Halfway up, the Song Dynasty Laozi Rock Carving suddenly appears before you. Sculpted from a single block of granite, Laozi's benevolent face, flowing ears, and long beard remain serene despite a thousand years of weathering, truly deserving of the title "Laozi, the First Under Heaven." Touching the stone carvings, it's as if you can converse with the ancient craftsmen and feel the profound depth of Taoist culture. Climbing the mountain path, cliff carvings are everywhere, showcasing the calligraphy of scholars and poets throughout history, some vigorous, some elegant. These over 600 carvings are a veritable "museum of calligraphy on stone." Reaching the summit of Nantai Rock, one can enjoy panoramic views of Quanzhou's ancient city and the distant seascape. Mornings are shrouded in clouds, and evenings are bathed in golden sunsets—every frame a soothing picture. Tianhu Lake, like a pearl embedded in the verdant hills, sits nestled beside an ancient temple, its bells ringing melodiously. The stupa containing the relics of Master Hongyi is hidden in the greenery, adding a touch of timeless Zen. The most precious aspect is the pleasantness of the climb. The slope is gentle and moderate, with pavilions scattered along the way. When tired, one can rest and listen to the sounds of streams and birdsong. At the foot of the mountain, the local delicacies of rice noodle soup and meat dumplings are the perfect finishing touch—a steaming bowl of delicious food after the climb.

Staying in a traditional earthen building with modern facilities, it's comfortable, pleasant, and elegant. The butler provides attentive one-on-one service, always ready to assist. It's a rural tourism experience that meets modern five-star service standards. I would definitely recommend it to friends!

My child was so excited about the whale specimen, and was immediately overwhelmed by its sheer size. He cried... a true example of "Lord Ye's love of dragons" (a Chinese idiom meaning someone who professes to love something but is actually afraid of it)... hahaha. The guide was incredibly gentle and patient, and I thoroughly enjoyed the explanations! A million thumbs up!

It's a combined ticket, valid for entry within three days. There are quite a few steps between the entrance to the Chuxi Tulou Cluster and the electric shuttle bus stop, which isn't very convenient for disabled people and the elderly.
