Highlights: The National Library of Singapore was opened in 1960 and rebuilt in 2005. It is currently one of the largest and most advanced libraries in Southeast Asia. The National Library consists of two 16-storey buildings, each of which is connected by a sky bridge. The library houses nearly 9 million documents in Malay, Chinese, Tamil and English. In addition, there are more than 100 books in the library. Computers and 6,000 multimedia items, and provide readers with an elegant café area.
